    06/01….. 203.4…..(Trend Weight: 203.6)….. I decided to cancel the heart doctor yesterday and go to a different medical group which is affiliated with a much better hospital. It will also coordinate my medical records much better since I have other doctors in the same system. I first chose the other because it is only about 2 hours away and the place that most folks around my area go. But I changed my mind for all the reasons above. The appointment is on June 14th I think so I won’t have to wait long. I think it will be worth the extra drive. My weight and trend weight is exactly the same as yesterday. I had a bit of a binge last night due to having too light of a dinner. It was not garbage food but was still too many calories and carbs. I’ll plan a better dinner today. I was painting all day yesterday with a very strong smelling paint in the 91 degree heat. No appetite until I was clean and in bed.

    06/15….. 206.8…..(Trend Weight: 205.1)….. I must have missed my posting date so I am posting today and adjusting the dates for the rest of the month. I saw a Cardiologist yesterday for the 1st time to address the problems I have been having. All my medicine basically doubled for blood pressure and cholesterol. So….on the 27th I have an ultrasound on the heart and on that day they will also place a heart monitor for me to wear at home for 2 days. On the 29th, back to the hospital where the monitor is removed and they will do the stress test without the treadmill because I can’t breathe with exersion. 4 hour test involving needle where they put something in to activate heart. Those 3 tests should give us some answers. Doctor says anything from an infection that got into my bloodstream/heart, diabetes issues, to my chemotherapy I had could have caused this. He suspects the chemotherapy. Follow-up for results in July. I hope to see a better readings soon on the scale, even with so much travel on the books coming up. It’s doctors orders.

    I guess I forgot to log any of my weight for the last 6 weeks. I seem to have struck a plateau on weight loss, but I think because I did the half-marathon at the beginning of May, I really had to cut back on the cardio intensity and I've been gaining muscle mass pretty consistently. It's hard to tell, but I don't think I'm going to be able to hit the goal for this challenge unless there's a significant whoosh incoming.

    06/19….. 203.0…..(Trend Weight: 204.7)….. I have been really trying since my cardiologist appointment. I have stopped expecting it to happen all by itself and am working on both diet and simple exercise. What got into me? I have worked (in the past) hard enough to have lost from 253 down to 173. Walking, aerobics, stationary bike, working full-time on my feet, low cal, keto, prep cooking, surfing the net for special recipes. Why did I suddenly think it would happen all by itself if I did something as simple as not stop for an ice cream cone as I passed a DQ. It takes a LOT more than that, clearly! So, my head is out of my *kitten* now and I feel more committed to this process. I know that restaurants will be part of my travel, but otherwise, when at home, I will keep in control as best as I can and I know I can try harder and do better. My first mini-goal is just to get out of this 200 range. I don’t think I have time to hit my June goal, but if I could hit even 199.8 I would be thrilled!
