    Hi, I am in for another cycle. Thanks for starting this again.

    STARTING WEIGHT/DATE WITH MFP: about 175 on 8/19/12 (been here a long time, lol, but kinda off & on)
    Lost about 25 pounds, then pretty much maintaining, up a little, down a little, but would like to lose another 15 or so.

    Challenge starting weight: 144.2
    I weigh every day & average them on Monday, so my numbers are the weekly average.
    My goal for this cycle will be 140#
    Oct. average weight= 152.01
    Nov. average weight= 151.28
    Dec. average weight= 150.53
    Jan. 2022 average weight= 150.86
    Feb. average weight= 150.2
    March average weight= 148.84
    April average weight= 148.5
    May average weight= 147.72
    June average weight= 147.47 (I actually hit the lowest I have been in years on 6-29, 143.4#, but then dd & gkids came for a week & it went way up again! Lol)

    7-1= starting actual weight= 144.2
    7-4= 144.54
    7-11= 148
    7-18= 146.6

    HI!! How is everyone doing this week? My name is Jena (pronounced like Gina) I have used MFP on and off over the years but am now using it pretty religiously since June. I live in Southern Cali in the High Desert and am 50 years old and will become a first-time grandma in about 2 months. I have 3 daughters 2 are grown one is entering High School in a few weeks. And I am happily divorced.
    I thought maybe we could share the different approaches to our weight loss we are doing and if you feel like it's working or not. I have literally done everything when it comes to weight loss and now here I am losing weight by diet and exercise who woulda thought lol I also do intermittent fasting which is really really working for me.

    Well hope to hear from you and stay hydrated out there! Here in the US most of the country is experiencing extreme heat. Great for sweating but keep drinking that water water water...
    I attempt to drink 100 ounces a day, most days, I do pretty well. Where I live we hit temps well over 100 for days in a row so don't worry I am not going to drown myself :-)

    Ahhh, yes, allow me to explain . . . last week I had a large gain of almost 4 lbs. I knew I was dealing with some swelling around my abdomen and put it down to water retention. Within 24 hours, I had some kind of gastric problem going on which lasted for around 3 days 🤢😭 (yup I was sick all through that 40 degree heat wave in the UK, with no air conditioning! oh it was great!! - sarcasm!- ) . anyhoos, just as I recovered from that, my beloved brought home a really rotten head cold from work and gave it to me! It's definitely a cold, a rapid test for him came back negative at work, before he was sent home. So, now I'm full of the cold 🤒🤧and though I have been eating, it's not been the best. I've been having to suck on cough sweets, drinks with lots of honey, calorie dense but small portions to help me fight this off, etc etc. So was rather surprised to see the reading on the scale! I haven't been this weight for several years!!! Expecting a gain next week (you know, the monthly stuff), but perhaps the week after, I'll be out of the 15st range and into the 14st range!!!!! Exciting!! 😁🥳

    07/21….. DNW….. (Trend Weight: DNW)….. I am not weighing today because with Covid, my weight has went wonkers. I thought it was the scale at first but it wasn’t. Even though my appetite has remained good throughout my weight dropped greatly in the beginning (I ate up to my calorie allotment and still lost). Now the opposite is happening. Still eating 1400 calories or below, even getting in more movement now that I’m feeling better and weight has been creeping up each day. Can’t face another gain today. I’ll weigh again in a day or two.

    07/28….. 199.6(Trend Weight: 199.8)….. I am experiencing a lot of strange things since I’ve recovered from Covid. My weight slowly climbed by the day as I healed. Then my blood pressure has dropped very low (in a flunking category) and they’ve had to pull me off of blood pressure meds. They are calling it hypotention and it may be a sign of long covid. Now, they will have to watch my kidney’s. Had the shots and booster #1. Couldn’t get booster #2 due to the heart tests. This really sucks. The good side is that my glucose has actually improved. I don’t know if that will last but I am glad for that. Time will tell how long I’ll be affected but hard to gauge my weight during this time. Just sticking to plan and trusting the process.

    Good Morning! I am going to alter my goals a bit for this challenge. Just reevaluating things as we near the end of its first month.
    My Goal For this Challenge is to go from OBESE TO OVERWEIGHT With a cushion.
    To initially meet the main goal which is to only be overweight lol I will need to be at 143 pounds (10 stone 3 lbs) That's the "magic number" not to be Obese anymore. :) BTW I am only 4 feet 10 inches tall B)
    My new personal Goal Weight for this challenge period july/aug/sept, is 140 lbs pounds;10 stone (3lb cushion ) on September 30, 2022.

    Hi, I am in for another cycle. Thanks for starting this again.

    STARTING WEIGHT/DATE WITH MFP: about 175 on 8/19/12 (been here a long time, lol, but kinda off & on)
    Lost about 25 pounds, then pretty much maintaining, up a little, down a little, but would like to lose another 15 or so.

    Challenge starting weight: 144.2
    I weigh every day & average them on Monday, so my numbers are the weekly average.
    My goal for this cycle will be 140#
    Oct. average weight= 152.01
    Nov. average weight= 151.28
    Dec. average weight= 150.53
    Jan. 2022 average weight= 150.86
    Feb. average weight= 150.2
    March average weight= 148.84
    April average weight= 148.5
    May average weight= 147.72
    June average weight= 147.47 (I actually hit the lowest I have been in years on 6-29, 143.4#, but then dd & gkids came for a week & it went way up again! Lol)

    7-1= starting actual weight= 144.2
    7-4= 144.54
    7-11= 148
    7-18= 146.6
    7-25= 146.11

    Well, this rollercoaster is getting really annoying!
    I have been sick with and recovering from a really nasty head cold, this week, so I've been letting myself just eat whatever and whenever I feel like it.
    Though I haven't been eating huge amounts, nor have I been eating excessively bad things. I was expecting some gain owing to the date and the illness, but almost 4lbs?? What the heck?? I am starting to ponder these excessive weekly fluctuations and whether I should be worried about them.
    I suppose I should take away that I have at least, lost some weight since the beginning of the month. But the up and down of this month has been a real trial. I can only keep going and see what happens next week.
