More than 10,000 steps is needed. Try adding more steps and more rigorous exercise and weight lifting. Also work on stress reduction, as cortisol levels can rise with stress, affecting blood sugar. Add more fiber and healthy protein to your diet and pull away from processed carbs. Treat each day’s food intake and activity and stress management as if it counts and with time those numbers will go down. Best of luck.

What is your A1C? 5.7 and below is normal. You stating you are diabetic would give you a starting point how aggressive in regards to diet, medication and yes I know people will say otherwise, but exercise. A small regiment of exercise should be part of you managing your diabetes.

A1C is a helpful marker only in the respect that insulin is doing it's job but to more fully understand your situation a better test than the standard fasting glucose test is a fasting insulin test. Cheers

Are you MDI or on a pump? Do you use a cgm/fgm to monitor your sugars? Time in range is the best to lower your A1C.
Your endo is the best resource for lowering you A1C and the clinic should have a dietician available to you.
