Please read this with the gentle tone it is intended (typing an answer is by definition impersonal what is shared can seem harsh at times, that is not my intent). While I realize that being addicted to brownies is probably hyperbole in your case, the basic counseling principle is the same. When you eat the brownie you are making a choice, and the key is not to think of choosing to eat the brownie, the key is to think of what you are choosing the brownie over. What do you value more. Why do you want to lose weight? And are those things less important to you than eating the brownie and having the temporary enjoyment that it brings. When you chose to eat the brownies, you are choosing against weight loss. I am not saying never to eat a brownie, but before you eat half a pan of them just pause for a second and think of the choice you are making. (And remember each bite is a choice, just because you might have a small failing doesn't mean that at any point you cannot choose your health over the next bite.)

I totally understand what you're saying because today as I was exercising, all I could think about was "man, now im just exercising off the brownie, nothing else extra"
