Hello!

Hi, I’m Snowy, and I’m trying to lose 195 pounds. I’m trying to look at it in groups of 10, though. The other number is just too overwhelming!

I like to help people, and my hobbies include video games and drawing.

It’s nice to meet you all!

Hi! Nice to meet you. I have about 200 lbs to lose and would love to be your friend so we can support each other. There is a long introducing myself post in here from me if you want to know my story. Add me as a friend if you’re interested. Jacki916W

I would be glad to be your friend!

I’ve been overweight since I was six. I’m 31 now and about 340 pounds. I was thinking about weight loss surgery, but after reading your post, I’ve changed my mind. Thank you for the warning.

It’s not for everyone. So I feel you there. What about my post changed your mind? Glad you found my post so that you had more info.

Your post said it was the opposite of the easy way out. I knew it wasn’t easy, but I never knew it could be so difficult! That’s why I changed my mind.

We can still be supportive of each other. After all, we weigh the same and have the exact same weight loss goals. It will take discipline on both of our parts, be it the path I chose, or the path you chose, the end game is the same.

I broke my loss down into micro chunks, so I could “celebrate” my progress more often. I’m more motivated with success.

I also made sure to reward myself. My favorite reward was athletic gear, particularly leggings. As I lost, and they got too big, I offered to send them to friends on my friends list who were right behind me. I also did foot massages, or pedis, that kind of thing.

Never food rewards, though. Treating food as a reward, a comfort, an “oh, yeah, I deserve this because” was what got me in trouble in the first place.

I learned the hard way not to reward and waste money on other clothes because I had often “undergrown” them before I ever had a chance to wear them. (The leggings otoh got regular use.)

The last few times I just got a couple pair of stretchy jeggings and shirts and wore the heck out of those til it was time to change size again.

Hi there! I like to draw in an anime-inspired style.

That is super cool! I am somewhat-semi-maybe-sorta-kinda-passable artistically, but I can never do anime-style eyes right!
