I'm 90ish pounds lower than my starting point and around 30 pounds from goal. Right now I have a ton of stamina compared to before, greatly improved flexibility, increased heat tolerance, a slightly older looking but much slimmer face. Still have a lot in the stomach but I can wear mediums when I started at 2XL.
I would like to mention however that I started feeling better after having only lost ten pounds or so. I started having more energy and feeling my clothes fit better. I lost weight in my face early on. I kept getting more and more benefits as time went on. I want to mention that because weight loss can (and should) take quite a while, so it's good that we can start seeing health benefits fairly early on. It's so easy to think that you have to get near goal weight to start enjoying life more. That's what I thought, and I was so happy to be wrong!5 -

I wholeheartedly agree! I started feeling a difference after only a few weeks. Exactly as you said, more energy and my clothes fit better. I was not weighing myself at the time, I waited until about 5 weeks in to start weighing myself. But even not knowing a number, or not being able to see a difference in the mirror, I could tell that I was losing.

In the last 3 months I have lost 34 pounds. I was 217 and am now 182. I actually feel skinny. At around 185 I started feeling my old normal. But my old normal used to be around 175 or so....weird huh? I feel like I'm 175 but I still have 10 more pounds to go to get there. At 185, years ago, I would feel like I was fat and stiff and be miserable. But, after experiencing 217...185 feels great 😆 I hope to see 175 here in the next couple of months and ultimately 164. I wish I can describe how "skinny" feels to me now. I'm not "skinny" yet but I feel it. I was talking to a nutritionist last week and she asked me how I felt...I told her I'm actually starting to feel skinny. I just feel more comfortable, like my clothes hang right, like I'm not treading water anymore...if that makes any sense. I have fibromyalgia, have had surgery on both of my knees, have degenerative disk disease (I'm not sure why they call it a disease 🤔) so pain is my normal at age 38. Pain has reduced drastically. I used to get headaches most days of the week. I don't get them nearly as often. I hope the next 20 pounds I lose helps with that too. I am more energetic also. Feeling my tummy almost flat is very comforting. "Comfort" I think is the key word here. I sleep better even. You got this. You deserve this. But do take it one goal at a time. 5 pound challenges. Ten pound bench marks. Don't look at the end goal....just take the next step.5
