Height 5.8 and wears jeans US size 6.
Just to settle a discussion at work: would you say this person is normal, slender or fat?

Certainly not fat. Can't quite picture it in my head, but that seems quite a small clothing size for someone that tall. They're probably a normal weight, but appear on the slender side.0
-
I'd say slender, but not too much so0
-
I don't think height and jean size alone is enough to make a call here. However, since I'm 5.1, wear a size 5/6, and am considered "normal" (referring to size, not mentality  ), I would say average to slender. Again, it's hard to tell with just size and height.0

Slender (or on the very, very slim side of "normal").0

SLENDER!0
-
Slender--I was slender wearing size 6 at 5'5".0
-
Slender I think. Hard to tell without an image.0
-
def slender/thin.
I am 5'9 and wear 10/12 I would like to get to a size 8 and i think that would look ok....size 6 for me????maybe....maybenot.0 -
That's very hard to say...it depends on the person...
I am 5.9" and wear a UK 8/10 which is pretty close to what you describe.
I would say I am pretty "average" so that's what I'm going with. :happy:0 -
Lower end of normal...but height doesn't have a lot to do with Jean size.0
-
slender. very much so. I am 5'7 and size 9 is rather small for my frame.0
-
Slender to normal. Simply giving a size isn't a lot of information. Size 6 means something very different depending on the store or designer. :-) And body shape would affect that, too.
But I wouldn't say size 6 in any case is fat.0 -
Slender to normal, depending on frame.0
-
I'd say that's bigger...0
-
slender would be my guess.0
-
I think it all depends on the build, too. For some people, if they wore a size 6, they would look anorexic, for others, it would be slender/normal. But, if you're talking about the person in the picture, I would stay slender.0

I am 5'8 and wear size 6 in jeans..i would say normal0

That would be Slender to Normal in my opinion...0
-
I would say Slender - they are quite tall and i think US size 6 is UK size 10 and in my opinion anyone who can fit into a size 10 is slender!!!0
-
hmm a think normal weight but appears slender because of height. I'm 5'7 and use size 7, and weigh 154 (average)0
-
Fat.
Just kidding! No-one else had said it and I felt poor old "fat" was being neglected.0 -
Slender to normal. But what's normal?0

I was thinking normal to a bit overweight, but my colleagues think slender. I am not sure about the US size 6 - but apparently that must be slender.
I think slender is the answer - most people said slender.
Thank you guys for replying!0 -
I am 5'6" and a US size 6... and I weigh 142, which is in the upper range of "normal" BMI. I feel rather average... not fat but certainly not thin either... I mean, I'm 8 pounds away from being overweight. lol...
I would guess that someone who is taller and also wears a US 6 would look a bit thinner than I do.0 -
5'8" is taller than average for a woman, and in a size 8, I'd say that person is on the very slim side- also age should be a factor, so not knowing the age of the person could make a difference in that equation too.0
