/nothing again/ Some of you know I had a biopsy on my prostate last month. Yesterday it came back positive. Fortunately, so is my attitude. Pity is unnecessary. Prayers are appreciated, as we ponder the treatment path forward. Sorry if this is TMI.
I may have done some emotional eating of ice cream last night. But I will get back on the wagon today. 😊

10/17 -200.6- (Trend weight 200.2) My scale weight was exactly the same after a long rainy travel yesterday. This also happened earlier this week. I think I am succeeding in making better restaurant choices when I’m on the road. I’m feeling pretty good about that.
10/18 -200.2- (Trend weight 200.2) Under calorie which is reflected on the scale. However, I am not proud of my food choices. Too many carbs! Too much “junk foods” even for meals and not enough healthy stuff. I usually make much better choices at home. I’ll work on that today. On another note, I would like to remind everyone that is is breast cancer awareness month. Please don’t forget to do a very good self-check and schedule your mammogram. It saves lives and your life is important! Men, don’t forget your prostate screening.

She was less concerned about my cholesterol and more interested in my incredibly low thyroid hormone output. She put me on medicine and I will be tested for another autoimmune condition which may explain my weight and high cholesterol level. We will see.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating, exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

10/14 163.4lbs (-0.8lbs) Woop! Did not expect to see a drop today since I started taking creatine some days ago. Ended R201 on 164.2lbs yesterday, so seeing the 163’s is nice today 🥳
10/15 - 162.7 (-1.5lbs) Damn! Super surprised by this number considering I spent the evening at McDonalds. Stayed within calories, but still! It contains so much salt and carbs. I’ll take it! 🙉 Had a really rough HIIT workout today that lasted for an hour. I was in HR zone 3 for 10 mins and zone 4 for 40min.
10/16 - 162.7 (-1.5lbs) The exact same number as yesterday. Which is great! I hope I never ever see this number again in my life 😎 Don’t know yet if I’m going to hit the gym today or just go for a walk.. I have a pretty intense workout planned for tomorrow. Wishing you all a lovely day 💗
10/17 - 163.0 (-1.2lbs) I have no explanation for this small bump up 😂 I ate below calories, did one HIIT workout and went for two walks yesterday.
10/18 - 162.9 (-1.3lbs) Stayed under calories and did a one hour HIIT workout 😄 Still patiently waiting for a big whoosh effect 😂 💫 No, but for real.. Even if the weight hasn’t changed that much the past month I can feel that my body has. It’s tighter and stronger! Too bad I didn’t do a BF measurement before I started 🙉
10/19 - 162.5 (-1.7lbs) My lowest this round 🥳 Hope I make it to my goal. Stayed under calories yesterday and did a one hour HIIT workout too, taking an active rest day today. Maybe I’ll go for a small walk or something.10/20

An additional 0.6 pounds of holiday weight gain gone, 0.8 to go, that is my goal for this round. Resting heart rate down to 48, that's another improvement too as that is directly linked to my weight. No binges, keep within calories & macros.

10/14 138.2 – 4.75 miles walked yesterday mostly chasing around after little DGC!
10/15 138.2 – 10.54 miles walked, ready to move down from these figures now!
10/16 138.6 - 11.58 miles walked yesterday, we both got our Covid autumn boosters; it's nice to know that they had been tweaked to combat the Omnicron variant, couldn't get warm in bed last night, but DH was way too hot - side effects? Who knows!
10/17 137.8 – 3.66 miles walked yesterday, we both felt very tired and lethargic! Mostly rested, feeling much better today
10/18 137.8 – 10.25 miles walked, vitality back to normal again.
10/19 137.4 – 9.05 miles walked, feeling good & in control.

Awesome! Thank you as always for posting @quiltingjaine! These challenges really keep me motivated and you are a great group of people! ❤️
This will be my 13th round and I have lost a total of 27.6 pounds so far! This challenge brings me the most success and is much easier by breaking up my goals into smaller chunks.
I have one very solid goal, to be in Onederland by 12/17/22, after that, let the weight come off how it does.

Hmm. Not good but it will come off.
10/17: 204.6
I’ve been bouncing around the same 2 pounds for two weeks now but I’m not eating at maintenance calories. I just want to make it to Onederland already. I need to stop being so focused on a number!

I got care free in maintenance and the scale went up one lb at a time. Now I’m turning it around one lb at a time.
2016- 245lbs
2019- 142lbs
9/12/22- 185lbs
10/14- 179.2
10/15- 179.2
10/16- 178.6
10/17- 179.2
10/18- 179.8
10/19- 178.8 I payed closer attention to my calories yesterday and it shows. I’m working on finding my calorie sweet spot and I’m focused on eating at the very highest limit I can. Super important to fuel myself and focus on long term success.10 -

I may have done some emotional eating of ice cream last night. But I will get back on the wagon today. 😊
