How to convert the amount of macronutrients (expressed in grams) into calories.

    Answer ✓
    Carbs and protein are roughly 4 calories per gram, fats are about 9 calories per gram, alcohol is about 7 calories per gram.

    Thanks. Just was looking to see if MFP does this conversion somewhere. This can also be easily converted from the exported nutrition data in Excel.
