I joined today and I ate stuff that I normally would eat just to see how bad it was and It worked out to be -42 calories. So starting tomorrow I am eating healthy and exercising! I'm starting out with a goal of 75lbs and when I reach that I will shoot for 50lbs more!

That's actually a great idea. I never realized how many calories I was consuming on a daily basis until I started logging. You're going to love this site!0

It's my first day too! Good luck to you, I have a 120 lb goal in mind over the next 18 months (hopefully sooner)! Best of luck to you- feel free to add me, it seems a lot like Facebook, the more friends you have the better the experience (and more support and encouragement you will get).0

This is technically my second day, although I haven't quite figured it all out yet. lol. I too have LOTS to lose. I thought I would take it 10 lbs at a time so I have obtainable goals. I tend to have trouble staying motivated when I feel overwhelmed with the big picture. Wish you lots of luck!! Feel free to add me and I will do my best to help any way I can. :0)0

Nice to meet you! I just started a couple of days ago myself.0

Thanks! Nice to meet you to. My brother has been doing it for 3 months and he lost 30 lbs and only has 10 more to go to reach his goal. If he cheats a couple times a month he just works out extra hard and eats less the next day. It's so hard because I love junk food especially while watching TV at night. Night eating is my weakness!0

Try to make small changes, for instance with the nightime snack eating...instead of just out and out trying to do away with it, change what you're eating. Instead of eating potato chips or whatever, get some edemame- it's quite good but you have to peel the pods open to get to the beans which adds time and purpose to the eating, also it's not so bad for you. Or try carrot sticks or popcorn with seasoning instead of butter or cheese. Once you master that, then you can move on to setting a time that you won't snack after, or make yourself drink water or no calorie drinks like warm teas that will help fill you up so you will have less desire to snack. Baby steps gets you there, if you totally deprive yourself from day one it will be hard to stick with, ease into the habits and they will stick longer, remember you didn't gain the weight overnight, so you won't lose it overnight. Best of luck to you!0

welcome and good luck, just remember we can't always lose and it can't always be a big number every time, that's how i keep going on the weeks i stay the same. its a gradual process just like gaining was. stay focused and stay positive and you will get to where you want to be xx0
