That always seems to be how it happens lol0

My boyfriend is the same way..he decides to run for a few days a week and he loses 15 pds0
-
What is that all about!? I hear you 100 percent...0
-
Don't let it get you down. My husband and I both lost weight this year and of course he lost his way quicker but remember he has to work just as hard as you to keep it off. Men just lose weight faster/easier than women it's something we just have to accept.0
-
It could be a number of different factors but in the end the results won't last.0
-
Yep...on vacation my hubby and I ate the same food with the same activity level....he came back 10 lbs lighter...I came back 5 lbs heavier. ARGH0
-
Guys loose weight a lot easier than women! just sayin... It sucks...0
-
men's metabolism is way higher than women's in general. He cut his calories and is in turn burning the lbs...we as women have to fight harder. But he may not be getting enough to eat and as you said, that's not right. Its a bummer I know. Im sorry. But you are doing good!0
-
Oh friend! I feel your boy pain. My hub has to consciously work to keep weight on. Seriously!?!. Who has to eat that much? Evidently he does. LOL!
Slow and steady wins the race! You are making great long term choices and doing great. It's not about how much or how fast you lose it is about the way we improve and treat our bodies !0 -
Life just isn't fair. It just ain't!0
-
My husband was the same way when he was younger Now he looks like he's going to give birth any day!0
-
hooray for men !!!!:drinker:0
-
Hehe I second don, hooray for men0
-
I feel your pain too. All my husband has to do is THINK about losing weight and it slips right off. So not fair!0
-
Lol. I know it's not funny but your post was and it made me lol literally. Men always loose fast. My husband walks with me when " he feels like it" and eats what he wants but lost 20 in a month. Agrr.0

hooray for men !!!!:drinker:
Yep! Men rule! :flowerforyou:0 -

It will catch up to my hubby!! Its in his genetics bahaha :laugh:0 -
My husband has always been thin....his whole family is little. It sucks because he eats and drinks whatever he wants to - has candy bars (not like all the time, but maybe once a week) he eats pretty healthy other than that.....but he snacks a lot - like he can eat a 1lb bag of peanuts in a couple days - and he drinks a few beers every single night.
When he thinks hes getting a "pot belly" he just watches what he eats for like a day.......smh.
oh,,,,,,,I hear ya.0 -
A big breakfast is the way to go. Then a light lunch. if he didn't skip that he'd probably lose more. Skipping meals( especially breakfast) puts your body into starvation mode and the body hangs onto its fat reserves. Its not a healthy way to lose weight nor will it last.
Have a big breakfast and smaller meals through out the day remembering to leave a couple of hours bettween supper and going to sleep.....
...and yes. Mens metabolism is way faster which is a pain. ultimatley the competition is against yourself not your husband.
Focus on your own progress and goals.
Also get him to make supper!!! :-)0 -
Hey ladies, please do not compare yourselves with a man. A man has this tendency to lose weight faster than us women, its in their body composition. They have more lean muscle & less fat while us woman have more fat, less muscle. This also explains why it is very impossible for us to have that six pack or bulk up just by lifting weights unless we are doing extensive training & taking testosterone pills. Testosterone has a fat-releasing enzymes however our hormones is made to retain fat. This is because we are made for child bearing & so we need those extra fat for our reproductive system. So sad but true!0

Are the flowers for me? Or for all the ladies you just pissed off for agreeing with me?0 -
It had to be more than "a meal" but probably more like several meals. He probably has lot more to lose as well. it was that initial weight drop most everyone experiences (men especially) when they first change the diet to drop pounds. It won't last and will slow way down if he does continue. He also had to be doing some excerise. This to will end I bet. In other words stay committed and on course. If he continues then its good. Just know you are doing real good and now that you vented get back on track and look ahead.0

yepppppp. my husband stops eating chips, and looses 10 pounds in 3 weeks. TEN pounds!!! grrrrrrr0
-
I feel your pain! My husband gets ripped working out half the time I do. It annoys me, but at the same time I am grateful for it because it really pushes me.0

That type of "diet"is all smoke and mirrors, and you're absolutely right about one thing. If he doesn't get on a healthy eating pattern, and start incorporating exercise into his routine, then it DEFINATELY won't last. -- As a guy I can vouch that we lose it easier, it's true, but maintaining that loss is a whole different story. If I were in your situation I would be much more satisfied with the choices you have made, then to be intimidated by some fluky 15lbs lost by him.
Treating your temple appropriately is a life long process, and is not achieved by skipping meals, removing cheese, or whatever else. It's done by making choices that benefit your body, and that means giving it fuel, working it out, and maintaining balance.
Let me congratulate you on your losses, and let me encourage you that it's not a competition (if it were you'd be kicking his *kitten*!) -- As I tell my wife all the time, there are many times in life where we have to focus on the effort more then the results. The fact is you control one and not the other. I applaud your efforts, and hope you'll be successful in helping your husband along his journey.
Now I am off to run, and because I am a man I am sure I will lose a good 5-10lbs in the next 5miles alone...lol!0 -
It's no fair, BUT in a way it's good. This forces us women to take better care of ourselves, work harder and eat healthier. Sooo as much as it sucks, in the long run it makes the women who actually care healthier.0

I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE! When my fiance and I started dating HE was the big one and I was overweight but not badly. He actually gained a while bunch when we first started dating (he looked adorable but I could tell he didn't like it). Then he got a new job where he was on his feet all day, and he was never a big breakfast person anyway, and then he would also skip lunch and just power through until dinner. At which point he would come home and make some amazing gigantic calorie-laden fatty awesomeness for BOTH of us to eat. At which point he lost 50 pounds and I GAINED fifteen.
He's not even HUNGRY. And he looks HOT. And I don't, really... which is why I'm here! I'm going to doubledown and lose 30!0 -
My boyfriend is the same way..he decides to run for a few days a week and he loses 15 pds
yeah it pisses me off to no end. and he STILL eats whatever the heck he wants..0 -
We stopped baking cookies and my husband dropped 30 pounds! I don't know how many cookies the man was eating but if he sticks around longer I'll give him the quicker weight loss!0
