50 Days of Daily Weigh-ins

Hello!
I am kind of new here, I have a lot of weight to lose.
I am 5ft4, almost 29 years old, and my highest weight was the 28th October 2022 of 270lb exactly. (19st4) (122.47kg)
My official goal is 126-140lb. (9-10stone) (57.15-63.5kg)
I have decided that from the 11th November I am going to do 50 days of daily weigh ins -- this brings us to the 31st December.
This is solely as a way to try to desensitise myself to the number on the scale and to become ok with the natural fluctuations that happen on a day to day basis.
I am going to also try my best to log all my food between now and then.
I plan to start the 11th November due to it been the day after my youngest sons birthday. Then I only plan to go over my calories on the 4th December and the 25th December.
I am hoping to gain some friends whilst doing this!

That's a good idea. You could log your food starting today, then you'd have some data to use on the 11th.
There are a number of "challenge" threads that people use to be accountable, too. You may like to have others who are doing the same thing. . .dunno, just wanted to let you know about the "Challenges" section of this site. Some of them have been running for years. It's a good way to make virtual acquaintances, get support, etc:

You should start tracking *everything* now. That way you have a great baseline to look at. It's easy to see what substitutions you can make, etc.
Personally I only weigh once a week, and I'm aware that any such snapshot could be up or down from days before or after based on all sorts of noise. If you want to weigh daily as a habit, which is fine, only look at it in terms of a rolling multi-day average, to smooth out that noise.1 -

I only plan to log daily to see my natural fluctuations then from the new year I will either go weekly or 2 weekly2 -
I am a veteran and did the VA's TeleMOVE program for a few cycles. I got used to weighing daily. When I was preparing to move into a new house, I thought "I'm getting so much extra exercise, I don't need to weigh myself and log my food." Well, the extra activity ceased but the extra eating did not, and my weight crept up, but I wasn't on top of it because I wasn't weighing daily.
This pattern has repeated itself multiple times.
Plenty of people have great success with sporadic or no weighing (body and/or food); I am not one of them.4 -

It's definitely a by person thing isn't it! I know a friend that weighed yearly and didn't count food and had lots of success. I am not that person0 -

It's not easy, but you can do it. One thing I think I'd say (even though you didn't ask... ) is - You're going to have days where you eat a whole lot more than the ideal amount. Don't let that derail your long-term goal. Eating in a deficit (so, "on a diet" ) is difficult and for me it was often two steps forward, one step back. Just get right back to logging food and weighing in the very next day! Consistency and habit cannot be underestimated.

Problem: It has been that weigh for sometime know with lots of experiments, and many inconsistencies.
SOLUTIION: = need to find it; My goal was to get there by end of the year, and tonight i have a friendsgiving- will be bringing salad mix + pinneaple + making a smoothie, parties are my worse, and the season is coming up...SEEKING: community or app- that will create accountability for life, not temporary, creating methods and systems that work1 -
