Well, I’ve fallen off the wagon a bit lately, but here I go again.

It sounds like you are having a rough day! It is not the falling off that is hard...it is the courage to get back on again and ride it out. Dust yourself off, forgive yourself, and move on to a more positive plan. Have faith you can make it happen! Hope things improve for you.2 -

Hey, it's a process: Along the way, we try things, and sometimes they don't work. That's not a personal failure, it's just part of the learning process, figuring out what will work, by discovering what doesn't work for us individually.
Why is there a "should" about when to eat, BTW? Different schedules work for different people, and that's OK. I'm also a believer that not every single food choice has to be theoretically perfect every single time.
Only calories have a direct effect on fat loss, and even when it comes to nutrition, what matters is our nutrient totals, on average, over a day or few. If the big picture of our day(s) is good, it's OK to have some less nutrient-dense, more calorie-dense treats in there as well. A piece of candy or cookie doesn't cancel out broccoli. Yes, we need to stay away from actual poisons, things we're allergic to, or some few things that are off limits because of health conditions or drug contraindications. Other than that, I think it's about balance, not absolute theoretical perfection every second.
Just keep going, it'll be fine. What if I said there is no wagon, so we can't fall off? There's just how we spend the time that makes up life, either moving in a productive direction, or giving up. Don't give up. It'll be OK. I'm cheering for you
