Manscaping: it’s big business now

And mens personal care items are a whole section in grocery stores now. Shampoos, beard balm, body wash and grooming items for the nether regions. They even sponsor UFC.
So what’s the consensus??
Good, bad, indifferent?
Does it make or break physical encounters or is it just unnecessary?
Do men actually prefer to groom or is it more manly to have a bearded woodsman look all over?
Discuss.

A bearded woodman who smells like pine tree it's kinda hot. In all seriousness, a man who takes pride in his hygiene is very appealing to me. Using men's personal care doesn't make you feminine and I think lots of men relate it to that. Use that hair gel. Use that face wash. Please use that body wash!!5

I should have read the post more carefully because I definitely interpreted the title of this thread differently
But yes, please be clean at least up to the first knuckle5 -

I agree with this.
However, if a man starts shaving his entire body, having his eyebrows done, whitening his teeth to the point he glows in the dark - hard nope! There's a balance.9 -

Guilty. I had to get an eyebrow trimmer because the random 2 hairs look crazy and sometimes get into my sight area and it drives me nuts. And they HURT to pluck because they’re so coarse. Getting old sucks.4 -

How are you doing @cowsfan12?! I miss you on the private group from awhile back -- most (including me) don't comment much. No one chats sports with me anymore! Hope all is well with you.2 -

Was it you who had a thing about chainsaws? How do you feel about hedge trimmers?0 -
I think keeping yourself clean, groomed and hygienic is in the best interest of all men, regardless if you have a partner or not. I suppose that applies to women as well. I can't imagine that if you have a partner(s) that they want to go anywhere near something that resembles a 1970's sex-ed video. I do have a tip for you all: If you are in public, wash your hands BEFORE you use the bathroom. You touch so many surfaces and then touch your relatively clean genitals. That's no bueno. OK carry on with power tool talk. I'm partial to a 7" angle grinder.0

I lost 85 pounds two years ago and so far have been able to keep it off although I've added about 10 pounds of muscle from working out with free weights. I have a set of hair clippers as I like very short hair on my head in the Summer. This year after doing some manscaping in the private areas, I thought about swimmers and bodybuilders shaving all their body hair off. I wasn't ready to go that far so I snapped the #1 guide on the clippers and went to town. It was the coolest I've ever been for Summer. I couldn't believe how good it felt. It was also a lot easier to apply sunscreen as we go to the beach most weekends. I've let all my hair grow back for the Winter for additional warmth, but come next Summer off it goes again! (It's also easier to see my burgeoning abs without the hair!)3

Once you trim the first time, things start to itch something fierce if you don't keep it trimmed all the time.2

Just don’t shave the pits.

Actually, put the razor down and back away slowly….5 -
