You can set whichever days you want for your weigh ins. Just as long as you've got a beginning and an ending weigh in I'm sure it's all good. Keeping a weekly weigh in keeps us accountable. I'm changin my weigh in day from Sunday to Wednesday this month...lol

Set my goal a bit lower this month, I have a few events coming up so fully prepared to maintain or just lose 1lb for a couple of weeks...on the plus side, hoping to ramp up my gym sessions this month so should still lose inches even if the scales dont move.

Total loss for February I went to a celebration last night; a volunteer appreciation party. Scale weight is up 3.6 pounds just for one day, and that's no surprise. Average weight for the week is down over a pound from last week. I am still near the bottom of my maintenance range by average, and the scale weight actually is darn close to my current target goal weight.

It was nice to give myself permission to eat over budget with no apologies. I did log what I ate; way over for sure, by 23% even. I bet a bagel I'll moderate back down over the next few days. If not; I'm still in a good place. I will NOT go back up. I will succeed! You can too!

Hello! I love a good Challenge! I've been focused on working out at least 5xs/week--I have a Peloton and I love it but it's been stilling gathering dust until two weeks ago. I am also including Core work at least 3x/week but I just started. I did exceed my week 1 goal though and I'm super proud of myself.

Although the scale shows an increase of 3.6 lbs for 1 day, it is impossible to gain that much in one day. It'll come off really quik. Probably just water retention. To gain a pound, you have to eat 3,500 calories more than you burn. So to gain 3.6 lbs in one day you'd have had to eaten 12,600 extra calories. I doubt you overdid it by that much....lol

You CLEARLY have no idea how MUCH I ate last night ๐Ÿคฃ

It is unlikely, although frankly not impossible, that I put three and a half pounds of delicious food into my pie hole. Like I said, I had planned it and knew the scale would respond. I am not the least bit concerned. I absolutely did NOT gain 3.6 pounds of FAT, although there was for sure an additional 3.6 pounds of "stuff" inside the hole that runs from my pie hole to the hole on the other end. Some could be water weight that comes with carbs or just water in the food. I do think it's unlikely I actually ate over three pounds of food because I know how full I am when I eat "only" two pounds of cauliflower. To be sure, I ate over my calorie budget, so some will be converted to fat.

Am I worried? I sure hope I didn't come across that way. I am not.

My scale actually showed the exact same weight as today 15 days ago on 20 January. It's been down and up and down since then, but my "Weighted Moving Average" has been on a steady path down every day since then except today when it went up a tiny bit.

Not my first rodeo. It's why I decided to let myself eat what I wanted. It wasn't a cheat meal, it was a planned celebration, and I put it in my food diary because that's what is supposed to happen. Now it's back to the regular program. That is exactly what I tell others to do, and I'm totally fine doing it myself. It wasn't a stumble; it was planned. It didn't derail my efforts. It was a little side-hike to see the attractions along my journey. Now I'm back on the main path and moving forward.

    Success awaits! Grab it!

As expected, the scale is already coming back down - two of the 3.6 pounds it went up. That's even eating pretty much right at my calorie goal yesterday. Just like I expected. My ten-day average weight actually changed only 0.1 pounds and is even still lower than three days ago. The weighted moving average weight is lower than yesterday, is still higher than before the event on Friday, but actually lower than Thursday. Just goes to show, you can ignore the daily weight fluctuations if you monitor the trend.

Well first time for this challenge. My birthday is coming up in March. I will be 62! Just hoping to feel and look my best. I joined a yoga studio and have been going for a couple weeks to build muscle. I also walk about 30 minutes a couple times a week. I do TRE (time restricted eating) and will be doing some 36 hour modified fasts for the first time. (allowing a 500 calorie meal).
