Hi Donna, aka @deepwoodslady! I got my scale from Amazon here:
https://amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1UX8RW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . It connects to an app on your smart phone via Bluetooth. It's WICKED COOL!
@Walela617 Thanks so much! I just ordered it!0 -
My name is Donna. I am 62 years old and I live in Michigan USA. I am 5’ 5” tall.
Start Weight (from January 31, 2022 ): 194.8
Goal Weight: 189.8 (5 pound loss)
End of Challenge Weight: xxxxx
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)
Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.
02/01-194.6-(Trend Weight: 196.7)- It’s a short month but I will not lower my expectations for myself. I want the next five pounds gone! That would literally be finding me dipping my smallest pinkie toe into the warm welcoming waters of the 180’s (189.8). What a dream! It’s sink or swim!
02/07-196.6-(Trend Weight: 196.6)- I’ve been so back and forth this week and affected by travel. I’m just not doing any better on my choices in that department (in most cases). The required restaurants are just my weakness that I can’t seem to master most of the time. I’m a work in progress, even after all these years. The pro…..My trend weight is down a touch so I’m hopeful. Trendweight.com is also continuing to show my date to reach my goal weight getting better and better. Now, if I could just have the same faith in myself that it has in me based on my patterns!
02/14-193.8-(Trend Weight: 195.0)- It has been a very good week for me until last night. This weight reflects a good sized bump up after some self-sabotage. Saw a diabetic specialist yesterday and then spent the night doing exactly the opposite of everything they told me. I don’t know why I do this to myself but today and tomorrow will be redemption days. I’m proud of my progress so far and got to keep this engine rolling! It is not just a vanity thing at this point. My health really depends on it at this point.
02/21-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-
02/28-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

I'm Chris - 72 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...

I was 157.0 yesterday morning, so this is a big overnight drop! My lowest was 154.4 last Saturday, so I've been rollercoastering a lot this week. I drank sooo much water yesterday, so this is probably a result of flushing things out. I will aim to drink at least 2.5 litres of water every day for the next week to see what difference it makes.

Stress at work has been high and unfortunately found myself falling back into old habits, including stress eating. Based on this weeks gain, clearly not a good choice for coping. Today is a new day and I’m working on a better week!6 -

It's not a CHEAT day, it's a TREAT day! It's not a game. There's no cheating. If you logged what you ate, you win. Your body knows you ate it, and if you logged it you accepted it too and then moved on back to the main program. There's no cheat here; just stick to it!

Apples have sugar. Try eating an apple. Their sugar comes with nutrients and fiber. They can even fill you up. Then wait 15 minutes and brush your teeth. Then you can stare right back at those sugar cravings and say, "Hey; you have no power over me because I'm better than that."4 -

Ugh. We ordered pizza and wings last night. While I only had 1 piece of pizza I did have several wings. Other than that I have been doing well with my eating and walking this past week. I am going to weigh myself tomorrow morning to see if maybe the sodium from the take out is causing the gain.

If fruit doesn't scratch that sugar itch for you, I recommend dark chocolate covered almonds. If you stick to the portion size, you get a sweet treat with a little added protein. Another option I find helpful is a cup of hot tea, something calming/decaffeinated such as chamomile, with a teaspoon of honey to sweeten it. Added bonus of helping with hydration and sleep. Good luck! Brushing your teeth to cue yourself that your done eating for the night is great advice also!!3
