@rachjolly I've pretty much given up alcohol due to the medication I'm taking, but definitely appreciate that it's also a big positive change to make for weight loss as well!

15lbs lost already, my goal for the month was 10! The first few weeks of a big change is always going to be a little crazy, especially when you're obese. I'd love to see the 330s by the end of the month, but I'm not going to change my goal, I'm just accepting that I've smashed it this month!

I'll keep up the good work making better choices and building good habits, and wherever I end up at the end of March, my target for Feb with be 10lbs down again.

    March goals:
    No fast food
    Eat regular meals
    Lose ~10lbs

    Highest weight: 366lbs
    Start Weight: 358.3lbs

I "forgot" but I suspect deep down I was concerned about the results of the pizza!

Pleased to see I haven’t put on loads. I’ve been avoiding the scales for a couple of days and not calorie counting. We had Mother’s Day (which involved A LOT of chocolate) and yesterday was mega stressful so I ended up having a couple of drinks. Not loads but 2 beers in the evening.
Haven’t done a proper food shop this week. I find it so much ch harder to calorie count when I don't have a meal plan.

    Good afternoon everybody!!

    I’m Andi.
I’m 53 and I live in a high rise apartment in Illinois.
My highest weight ever was 243.
In January 2023 I started this journey again, so here’s my progress thus far:

    SW: 235
    GW:150
    CW: 226

    January loss: 2.2
    February loss: 3
    March loss: 3.8

    Total lost so far: 9.

I only weigh twice a month: once at the Bariatric Institute and once at my dietitian’s office.

    My goals for March include
    🔹increasing my water intake
🔹starting water work in the pool (walking against a river current for 15-20 minutes 2x/week)
🔹cooking nutritious meals out of my pantry
    🔹continuing to walk 2,000-5,000 steps a day

    I’ll see you in April!

Every time I stumble, I fall headlong into a very deep rabbit hole. My perfectionist mindset, not helpful. I am killing myself slowly by the amount of food I am eating. It is an avoidance tactic. I don't shower everyday, and I rarely leave the house. I really do need professional help, but I am a smart girl, so I feel like I should be able to figure this one out. I need to start journaling, connecting the dots. I am looking at three empty journals sitting right beside me.

Sorry your going through that. It’s so tough to get back out of the rabbit hole. Try and remember you don’t need to do everything at once. Maybe try and take a stroll to grab 1 of your meals or a coffee each day. That way you’re getting out the house. You could fill out your journal at a cafe maybe?
Don’t overwhelm yourself thinking about everything you need to do. That’s what I always do then I just end up doing nothing because the mental load gets too much.

    Sending hugs 🤗

    Thanks, @rachjolly <3

I am still here, sort of. I am going to go for a walk a little later as it is starting to feel like spring. Not super warm, but I prefer to be a little cold when I am walking. I had my small family for an early Easter dinner on Sunday. Some leftovers to eat up, so that never bodes well! I am going to weigh-in on Wednesday and start fresh, yet again! As long as you never quit, there is still a chance for success!

I'm in. I started my weight loss journey a year ago, topping out the Scale at over 360 lbs. I'm currently at 255, almost to my first goal of 250. 200 is my long term goal.
