    Sorry - Florida here but I just had to respond anyway. I saw Newfoundland and almost teared up. I have had 3 Newfoundland dogs and can't have one down here in this heat.

    I hope you find some local friends on here.

    Hi,
    I am from Newfoundland. I lived in Alberta for 11 years after high school and have lived on Vancouver Island for 5 years now.
    Just joined here 3 days ago. I am 35, 5'3 and 185 pounds. Tired of trying to lose weight and struggling with it for most of my life. I get on a roll and then something happens and I fall of the wagon....Holidays, illness, laziness.
    Anyways I would love to find some support on here as there are days when I don't feel like I have much support in my life.
