Quick peek before heading to the canyon with the neighbor’s terrier Dilli, she is a great walker and by herself we should have a good workout.

For our newly remodeled bathroom, I had to shop online for coral colored bathroom rugs and of course a few extra goods for myself.

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

04/18-187.8-(Trend Weight: 190.9)- Finally able to (kinda) confidently slash the 190’s off my colorful chart above. Feeling victorious for that even though I still have a LONG way to go. Celebrating myself over my accomplishments this past week and feel okay to say “Yay Me!”. Clearly I won’t make my 15 pound loss goal, so I am going to (at least) try for my April goal. I’m still so so happy that I’m making real progress and am feeling very grateful! The closer I get to the 170’s, the further the 190’s will be in the dust!

04/25-190.4-(Trend Weight: 191.0)- I’ve been doing horribly this past week. I’ve got to get my head straight and also get back to exercising again. Doing my housework and documenting it as exercise on MFP is simply NOT enough for me. I’ve also got to consistently log my food. It really makes a hard day so much easier and is the key to success for me. Blah, Blah, Blah I can keep talking, but actions speak louder than words, don’t they?

I heard a story on the news yesterday about a weight loss injection about to hit the market called Tirzepatide. Eli Lilly, the manufacturer, is trying to fast track it with the FDA. People on this loss about 20% of their body weight. It is predicted that this will become the MOST prescribed and used medicine in the world and will be a game changer for weight loss.
I am on Wegovy which may or may not be the same thing; mine is already FDA approved and available. I finished my first month and am down 8 lbs with no side effects. I have just moved up to the next dose. You do 4 of each amount as it builds up in your system. So far so good. HOWEVER this is a very expensive drug and I cannot stay on it forever due to the cost. I talked to my Dr about this and she said some of her patients, once they hit their goals, have successfully weaned off it without regaining the weight. She did not recommend just stopping it even though it won't harm you, you may regain the weight. I really do hope with some competition, these medicines will become affordable to all. Obesity has such serious medical implications that one would THINK insurance companies would offer coverage to prevent the other costly issues one can develop from being heavy.
