Makeup ride for missing yesterday (I was going to do a practice super-sprint triathlon, but cold temperatures kept me out of the pool... then was going to ride indoors, but the weather gave us a surprise downpour so I had to scrap everything to go get the kiddo from school and load her soggy bike onto the car. After the shenanigans I gave up lolz). Ride for today getting lost in the new developments around the 'hood.

Hello everyone! I'm back from my trip! I had a wonderful time. Lisbon, Tenerife (Canary Islands), Madrid, Athens, Santorini and 3 days in NYC. I thought of everyone when I was in Tenerife- the National Park there is filled with serious cyclists. Its quite a beautiful place.
Came back home to a foot of snow on the decks and driveway! Its snowing now too! Crazy weather! Hope to have some time to catch up reading all the posts.
Was able to get in one ride at the hotel in NYC when I was working my way home and had a good ride yesterday. My house sits above 10,000 feet so I thought I might really struggle with the altitude and the time away, but it was actually ok. Go figure. Finally slept through the night last night too.

21.6 more miles on the mountain bike exploring this remote area of France. We found a lovely hilltop castle and stopped for a drink before riding back and having a beer or two next to the river. Lush. Perfect afternoon.

And meanwhile, just pedaling away down here in South Carolina. Indoors, too, because of the amount of housework going on.
Spent the day yesterday building a gate, so had to do a makeup ride today, hence two entries. Also realized I hadn't done a full century, metric or otherwise, this month and needed to do so to get that sweet Strava badge (I'm a sucker for virtual swag).

Zwift's Spring Training workout nonsense threw a doozy at me today in the form of high cadence efforts. I want to sacrifice my knees and my hip to the dark one in exchange for replacements.

@sarabushby - What part of France are you visiting, reading about your trip is making me excited for ours! We have a driving holiday planned in August, fly to Nice and make our way up along the Italian border taking in famous Tour de France climbs, Col du Turini, Alp d'Huez and then making our way back down via Mont Ventoux and flying home from Marseille. We are really looking forward to seeing a very steep climb with lots of hairpins Montvernier.2
