Hey there - Raising my hand as a 50-something active runner. Working on a creep of about 20 lbs. I know they say weight doesn't matter BUT this extra fluff has really slowed me down over the last couple of years. I'm in an off season now so focusing on fat loss and general fitness while I keep a moderate base of mileage going.

Fellow runner here. (Yikes, that still sounds strange to say, 4 years ago I was still a couch potato  )
Turned 40 last year, lost 75lbs since 2019, but regained around 6lbs - not a huge deal but I don't like how tight my pants are and don't want to size up!
Also been slacking a bit on my mileage: I was at 30km per week, currently fluctuating between 20 and 25 and I feel my progress is stalled. Not sure what a reasonable weekly mileage is anyway, I'm just winging it without a real program

I have been running for almost 4 years now and I love it. Can’t imagine my life without it now, honestly. I just turned 40 two days ago, I’m currently weighing in at 190.2 pounds and I’m looking to lose about 15 pounds. Good luck on your journey.
