Ok, so I decided that I might buy an exercise bike....I've done a web search and found that the max weight is 100kgs and some are 110kgs.....
So what do people who are over 110kgs do if they want an exercise bike?...
Anyone else come up against this?....

My exercise bike is rated for 110kg but I was riding it from 140kg. Guess I wouldn't have been able to sue if it had broken and I was hurt but I come from the school of accepting responsibilities for my own avtikns.0

I bought mine when I was approx 350 lbs & it has been ok, it is slightly bent, and my not last too much longer, but it was only a cheap one.0

By a used one. The older models are better anyway and sturdier0

Pretty much all exercise equipment comes with a max weight but it's tested well in excess of those weights; caveat emptor and all that, but you should be OK.0

Yeah, I was looking for one the other day and 100kg is the norm. I was very disappointed by this. But looking at the comments here it looks like I will be ok. I'm just a little over 100kg (105) so hopefully I should be ok. The only problem is, my mum needs to use it too and she's still in 120s just now.0

My missus bought a stepper for the home, and it was max weight 100kg - I was 115 at the time and used it with caution...
I'm sure these things are tested to higher weights, but you may not have a claim against injury or breakage if you use it outside of their recommendations.
If in doubt, get one with a higher weight tolerance.
Good for you for wanting to do it though!0 -

Actually, I bought a second hand one last year but was to darn scared to actually get the courage to ride it any where.....I never had a bike as a kid...
Thanks all for your comments......I will take a look at a place here in Coffs and see what they have......0 -
