If you don't enjoy how you eat during the week, you might want to re-think your plan.
If you're trying to lose weight by calorie counting, you could consider eating slightly fewer calories than your weight-loss goal calories during the week to save up some calories, then spend those calories on a little more indulgent eating on the weekend. For example, consider eating 100 fewer calories each day Monday through Friday, then you'd have 500 extra calories to eat sometime during the weekend.
If you just let things go on the weekend and eat whatever, it's pretty easy to wipe out the entire calorie deficit you've created during the week, and lose no weight at all. Make a plan that will be reasonably happily compatible with your life style and eating preferences, then stick with it.5 -
Agree with Ann, eating what you want and not logging on the weekends is not a good plan. You can still enjoy time with family without overdoing. Be careful.3

^^What they said.
Log your food, all of it. Especially those weekend days. Look at your calories as a weekly budget. For instance, my weekly budget is 14,000 calories. If I eat (for instance) 8,500 for the week of Monday through Friday, that leaves me 5,500 calories to use on Saturday and Sunday. That's not a whole lot, really.
I could easily go over my calories if I didn't log them. Just an extra bit of food on each day would push me over and then I wouldn't lose weight.
Log food. All of it. I learned a lot from my FOOD diary. It's the only thing that has ever worked.2 -

Sat or Sunday it doesn’t matter just be aware that a small deficit during the week and a big weekend day can wipe out the weekly deficit or even turn into a weekly calorie surplus.0

What is your definition of eating good? What would Saturday and Sunday look like if you took off from eating "good". I pretty much follow a 90/10 rule everyday...but I also have a pretty broad perspective of what good nutrition is.1
