Depending on what brands you use and how much you put in, it can range in calories. My mom turned me onto this way of making oatmeal and it is seriously my favorite.
You will need:
1/2 cup dry quick oats
1-2 tbsp. peanut butter
1 tbsp. semi-sweet chocolate chip morsels
ground cinnamon
sweetener (optional)
1/2 - 3/4 cup of water or milk
Instructions:
Put oats and water or milk into a microwaveable bowl. Sprinkle your desired amount of cinnamon over oats with the optional packet of sweetener. Put your helping of peanut butter into the bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. Take the bowl out, stir, then put back into microwave for another 30 seconds. Add in chocolate chips, stir, and enjoy! You pretty much have yourself a giant cookie for breakfast
This is where it's at.:bigsmile:0 -

We Scots do love our porridge but I never thought of adding peanut butter! I love peanut butter, what a great idea, and there's lots of alternatives to adding the chocolate chips if calories are tight. I love banana with peanut butter but never tried it with oatmeal... Hmmm! Definitely food for thought here, I think? Thanks for the recipe!0

I use unsweetened cocoa powder instead of choc chips (23cals) and PB&co cinnamon raisin swirl PB. It's awesome0
