Simplify, Simplify, Simplify
This isn't necessarily weight-loss related, but it is in a way.
Much of our lifestyles have put us into the positions we're in today; part of it is being truly unconscious (the living dead) while we perform other tasks, including eating or not exercising or whatever it is that we're doing or not doing. Some of it comes with conditioning and other mental barriers; some of it is cultural, etc...
In any case, I've started a facebook page that helps ordinary American consumers ways to be more self-sufficient and include exercise in their lifestyles (push mowing, for instance; walking or biking to small distances, etc) as well as considering the world around them in a more sustainable manner.
If you would like to join the page and add your own tips, please feel free. This isn't a page set up to nag; it's simply to offer ways that everybody can fit an environmentally conscientious lifestyle into the daily routine.
So I haven't gotten into the big stuff yet, but some of the things that >> I << do, are after years and years of simplifying. So I could use tips from people who drive cars, use dishwashers, microwaves, cell phones... all that kind of stuff that I actually have no idea how to conserve with because I don't use them.
Make sense?
So the page can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Reduce-Reuse-Recycle-In-That-Order/175290565879430
And please remember, it's not a soap box. It's just offering tips. If you have them, offer them so other people can benefit.

By simplifying our lives, could you please clarify what you mean? ^^
Do you mean maybe finding ways not to work, and live off the land?0 -

no, that's not really what i mean. I mean like things absolutely anyone can do right now, without changing their lives drastically. The living off the land part comes later, and for those who want it. Not everybody wants to do that, but this is just to help people make really simple choices that reduce their contribution to a growing problem.0
