This one is huge for me. There’s this denim skirt I have as my “I’m thin enough” marker. When it fits, I’m an ok weight. Having got into “healthy” BMI last weekend I finally plucked up the courage to try it on.
It wasn’t even tight.

When I got up yesterday morning I noticed that my legs feel thinner, and my pants fit more loosely. I was carrying a lot of water weight on my hips & thighs and some of that is gone now. Later in the day I realized with amazement that I can simply get up from my reading chair now, instead of having to peel it off my butt first20

After 4 months of prep I finally completed my first 10k marathon today 🥹37

Recently, while on vacation I walked 24 000 steps in one day. I could never have done that a few months ago.29

I had to buy a new belt. I made it past the shortest hole in the old one.25

Major drop in blood pressure where I think I will have to talk to the doctor about getting off my last blood pressure medication.22

Attended my son's graduation from Army boot camp. After I left for home, one of the drill sergeants asked my son who the man with the super muscular arms was. Upon learning I was his father, the drill sergeant said I looked fit enough to beat out half the young pups who just finished boot camp at half my age.28

Paddled ~5 miles in the bay today on my paddle board. That is considerably further than I've gone in the bay yet.20

I have two pairs of blue jeans from like 8 years ago that I kept hoping to "someday" fit into again. Apparently today was someday! Slipped on easy, zipped up and everything.29

Yesterday, my dad was worn out and said that he was getting some takeout on the way home and asked if I wanted some. Not only did I say no, but I went inside to get his (extra steps, ftw!), and then came home to a tasty dinner that put me right at my calorie goal23

I felt confident enough to wear a two piece bathing suit, for the first time in a very long time (I'm 42, have given birth and have the marks to show it - but honestly, feeling proud of that accomplishment is the correct way to feel, I think.
Or maybe I'm just getting older and don't give a *kitten* what other people think anymore29 -
These images were taken one year apart. There's 32 lbs difference between the one on the left and the one on the right!

@soykk1995 I am SO proud of you!! Please keep going! I have often said it's much better to go slow and lose 20 pounds a year for a PERMANENT win than to take the same pounds off and on over and over again. You are WORTH IT! Imagine losing 25 to 30 pounds each and every year? Don't think about the time it takes...just take it one pound and one year at a time. Such an accomplishment deserves a wonderful reward. Please consider a relaxing massage at a day spa to get the lymph in your body flowing and enjoy the power of loving touch. If only a back massage. Try Yoga With Adriene on You Tube for gentle movement and to connect with your spirit. Finally...deep clean your bedroom, have a lovely hot shower with beautiful scent and drift off into dreamland under crisp, clean sheets. If possible, do this all in one day and remember that you are so loved and valuable......as you begin another year of focus....and kick it up a notch next year. New sheets, longer massage, etc....Please keep us posted.9

Today a belt fitted me that I haven’t worn for years. It didn’t fit two weeks ago. I can now wear all my new clothes my mother-in-law bought for me from overseas last year. I just donated big clothes and now I have more clothes to donate. I haven’t lost weight this week but I have lost 3 cm off my hips. I’ve lost two trouser sizes in 3 months. Now off to enjoy a wedding tonight!!18

I am back on Fitness Pal. Fell off track, some stressful times. Just started my journey back to health. So I did something extreme. I’m on a two week fast of bread, pasta, crackers, cookies, cake. One week done and 7 # lost. I sure miss my comfort foods, and find making healthy vegetable and fruit sides cumbersome…but I’m not starving. NSV I completed an entire week. One more week and I’ll slowly in control add some things back in.13

Wow!!! I totally misread that.
Part of me was thinking “is she *kitten* nuts?” while the other part of me was thinking “I could totally get behind that fast!” while slapping myself for even considering it.
Welcome back!12 -
I went to see the doctor today and my blood pressure is down enough that I didn't get admonished this time
Afterward I again looked at a list of suggestions for lowering one's blood pressure (a goal I've been working on), and I realized that I have literally all of them covered now: no alcohol, no added sugar, no caffeine, low sodium, using 50/50 sodium/potassium salt, working on lowering my stress level and starting to exercise. So the only thing left now is to keep losing weight. Feels good to be doing the right thing.28
