Introducing myself

I am Alfreida Capers, people call me Dr Capers. I’m a doctorate of Ministry. I’m over 65 and want to do Ministry to make a difference in the lives of children with an incarcerated parent. I need to get healthier than I am.

Hello, and welcome: What a wonderful life goal you have!

I'm 67, and it was a few years back that I got active physically and then (at 59-60) lost weight from class 1 obese to a healthy weight. I've stayed at a healthy weight since.

We can make progress at any age, I'm convinced. And, in my experience, the results are more than worth it, in improved quality of life.

    I'm cheering for you!

What an interesting goal for others.

And what an intriguing goal you could make this for yourself. When I retired (or, let’s say, when I fully accepted that I wasn’t going back to work 🤷🏻‍♀️), I decided to treat myself as my new full time job.

Losing weight has changed my life, my concept of myself, and how others treat me.

Could you treat yourself as your own ministry? Maybe this is the Lord’s way of ultimately opening new doors to you, if you choose to treat it that way.

Just a random internet thought. 😘
