I finally reached 130 kilos (~286lbs) when doing hip thrust this week, which is twice my bodyweight!
I've never been very athletic/sporty to begin with and after my weight loss my almost non-existent muscles were closer to marshmallow than anything else, I couldn't even do a bodyweight lunge, today I do sets with two 24kg (~53lbs) kettlebells !14 -
I tried on 32 relax fit jeans this week. Wife went with me to home depot and said I need the straight fit because the relax are to baggy.
I was creeping into 38s 3 years ago which is why I finally started taking my weight loss more seriously19 -

Achievement - being able to climb a flight of stairs (run multiple flights) without being out of breath!
Satisfying - Having clothes that fit so much better!
Makes me smile every time - Running into folks I haven't seen in years and seeing the look of shock on their face!
Personal favorite - Not jiggling when I walk! The only bounce in my step now comes from how great I feel!19 -
Returned from out of town. Stocked up on protein powder; batch cooked chicken, turkey meatballs, hard boiled eggs, and quinoa to help me meet my protein goals.13

I've been trying to eat a lower refined carb diet, and my body has been telling me that I don't want the carbs a lot more lately!
I had a sandwich for lunch, and I picked all the meat off the bread because I didn't want the bread.
For dinner I had stuffed grape leaves at the restaurant we went to, and I barely touched the rice pilaf that came with it - as I already had rice in the leaves and some pita bread for an appetizer.9 -
A friend gave me some delicious produce from her garden. I usually don't even cook much this time of year because of the heat, but I figured I could saute up some zucchini and tomatoes (with onions and garlic). It was a big amount of veggies, and I was thinking, "I should make some rice or barley or something to go with them." I decided I didn't need the calories, so I just ate the veggies. None left over. Awesome lunch.
Later in the day, I took the other half of the onion, a fresh cucumber also from the garden, more zucchini, some tomatoes, and a wee bit of sesame oil and added to some skipjack tuna for a veggie-laden tuna "salad" for supper. I almost added some panko for a little crunch, but decided I didn't need THOSE calories either.
Instead I had a half a cantaloupe; they are in season from Hermiston, and those are the BEST.12 -
NSV- today my skinny jeans not only fit but are a little bit loose.
Scale Victory - I am no longer obese, just overweight!17 -
Completed my fourth Sprint Triathlon of the Summer. Got another one this weekend!
I've come a long way!

I'm going through some major stress/grief and the thought of "eating to cope" has not even occurred to me. This is the first time I have ever gone through a difficult time and not reached for food to try to comfort myself.29

I've slowly started doing plyo exercises to include a VERY small jump box with my kids that I coach.
They're actually impressed that this old fat man can do it and motivated to do better than me.15 -
I received multiple compliments on my eyes last week. I have the same eyes I have always had. The difference is I have lost fat in my face so you can see them better now.
I think this means people are starting to see a difference 😀👀👍🏻25 -
This is pretty minor since I’ve only been back on MFP for about a month and my scale hasn’t budged (actually I think it’s not working any more and am waiting for a replacement) and I look exactly the same. But I’ve been feeling better physically, and decided to try on a dress that’s quite fitted but surprisingly forgiving even with big weight fluctuations of 15-20 pounds. I had planned to wear it to a friend’s memorial celebration recently but could barely squeeze into it and looked like a overstuffed double-dip ice cream cone; thank goodness I had a different dress with me! Anyway, I just tried on the dress and it fits pretty comfortably. So I think this dress will be my regular weekly test of how it’s going.
If anyone’s interested, it’s the Sara dress style from Blue Sky Clothing, a Canadian company that has gorgeous stuff in a range of sizes and does ship to other countries. I promise I don’t work for them! But I have appreciated the size flexibility of their styles.15 -
Logged a loss after getting home from vacation.
Started a new workout program and completed the first 3 workouts making modifications where it made sense.13 -

This is so funny to me. Congrats on getting some compliments! I think sometimes people kinda notice that something is different (or that you look nice) but they can't quite put a finger on what has changed, so they comment on whatever comes to mind. Or they don't want to comment on someone else's weight because that can be fraught. Last time I lost a bunch of weight, I started getting comments on my hair

I have a favorite ring that hasn't fit me in years. I put it on my finger a few days ago! Of course this was followed by a few moments of panic as I realized I couldn't get it off again. It was a bit of an event even with the help of soap, but I am once again ring-less. I think I'll wait another 20 lbs or so before I try again
Another NSV is that the hot summer weather hasn't been bothering me. I have always hated hot sunny days, I'd be sweaty and miserable and complain all day lol. Even though I'm still in the early phases of a substantial weight loss effort, I've noticed lately that I can spend time outside doing stuff despite the heat, and not constantly feel like I'm going to die! This is amazing to me. Must be my changed diet?
Oh and also, I fit into an armchair that has been too tight for me for the past several years. I had to sort of perch on the front edge and now I can sit all the way back. (Not at my house but I go there regularly.)16 -

This is so true! I have been getting many more compliments on my hair, makeup, and outfits. My favorite comment was, “life has been treating you very well!” Yes it has, because I’ve been treating myself better than I used to.13 -
@Thewonderofitall wow that is awesome! Good luck in your next race! Your transformation is inspiring!1

I organized a "beginning whitewater" kayak trip yesterday afternoon for one of the clubs I'm part of. We had ten boats, and everyone appreciated getting out and either doing some learning or polishing up after being away from paddling for a while. Smiles all around - that makes it worthwhile.
When we met to set shuttle, a person who I haven't seen in a few years who is also retired from a job very similar to the job I retired from but for a city about ten or twelve miles away said, "Wow. You're looking very fit." I tried not to smile TOO much.
Maybe the paddling and hiking are contributing to that. Today I had a scale victory, but this isn't the place to bring that up. Maybe I should go to the forest today!15 -
I had a NSV moment after a frustrating scale victory yesterday. I had eaten very healthy last week and the scale didn’t move. I had eaten at a restaurant and gotten a meal (and eaten the leftovers) that was high in veggies and lean protein but I figured that the sodium in the sauce would stall my efforts to lose for a few days. It did. Sunday started well with a long walk but then most of my movements were to get snacks. On Monday morning, after eating poorly I lost 3 lbs. My immediate response was “Now you drop?” However, I was rather quickly able to tell myself to trust the process of eating healthy. I know what will help me accomplish my health goals long term.13
