@Buckeyebabe7l7 You still have plenty of time if you want to do it. You'll add your name to the bottom of the post. Copy and paste the questions and put in your answers. Once they review then you'll join the team you get assigned to. Hope that helps. 😁

Ok, I think I did what I was supposed to do. My brain is functioning better now...but not a lot better. 😂

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

08/10-195.2-(Trend Weight 195.6)- Scale is up 0.6 lbs but trend weight is stable. The chocolate chunk fresh zucchini bread was delicious but now it’s gone so today should be okay. Hair dresser appointment today for a perm so I can look like I have some sort of fullness to my ever-thinning hair. I got a good phone call from my oncologist. The CT results came up stable meaning the nodule on my lung is not growing or showing behaviors of cancer (still). Yay! Next stop is the mammogram and oncology appointment at the University Hospital at the end of the month for the normal routine breast cancer stuff. Hopefully I’m still in remission.

08/11-193.8-(Trend Weight 195.5)- I was THRILLED to find myself back in the 193’s again/back to my starting weight. Still working my way toward the 180’s. It helps when I put the work in. I have already pre-logged my food for today which is mainly leftovers. I hope I can sneak some exercise in tonight after the dust settles. Today is the first day for handyman. He’s from another town and county so he will be here by 11:00 for the small loose-ends work. That will take at least 3 business days. I’m still praying for a good quote on the big jobs. I’m babysitting my DGS Owen today. He spent the night last night. He keeps me on my toes yet stops me from beginning any exercise routine with his constant needs. Nana, Oh Nana, Hey Nana etc. LOL. No way I can get on a bike or start a dance routine without having to constantly stop. However, sometimes I get him to do some strength training with me to teach him the importance of fitness. Rain expected by 2:00.

@ddainiak Too funny...I've been a part of the BLC for about 10 years now. Since we were on Sparkpeople - when they shut down that site we moved the whole challenge her - I'm on CAMO CREW :D:D

I still don't know if I did everything right to sign up. But I did want to say that I LOVE Harry Potter so that group seems more desirable to me. I decided on BLC because you said it was easier and since I have never done anything like this before I wanted to try the easier one first. I'm just not sure what it all entails and I don't want to fail any group I join. But, if I did the sign up right and get in I am excited about it. So thanks for the info and encouragement.

I feel just as energized as I did yesterday. It amazes me that just a small change in diet can make a HUGE difference in energy. I don't understand why it made a difference. I don't know if it was I calculated the calories wrong (that is a real possibility) or that it threw off my carbs vs. protein for the day.

I see your registration - Woo Hoo! 😁 I hope you like it. It's a great intro to the challenges; you can't fail on this one - everyone just does what they can. I LOVE the Harry Potter one, but it is a lot (if you do everything) - maybe next term??

@fourathomej That's wonderful, I try to be good but the sodium in the food alwas gets me on date night. Fortunately it is usually a quick fix (if I'm good the next few days).

@deepwoodslady Fantastic! Just keep going! A wise person I know said this: 😉

@Buckeyebabe7l7 You have had such success in your weight loss journey. You may have shared before I joined this fantastic group, but would love to know what your food plan is. I know that you are always moving, but I think we can all agree that what you put in your mouth is just as important (if not more so) in weight loss. 😁

Well hello August! Summer seems to be flying by!
I am Amanda, I am from Michigan. I lost 50 pounds last year but have been stuck at pretty much the same weight for about 7 months. This month I would like to put a dent in that number! Hooray for willpower!

    SW: 250
    UGW: 150
    7/31: 199.9
    8/31 GW: 195

    8/1: 199.4

Blech! I didn’t think I was this off the rails on vacation but I guess I was! And I had pizza last night, my salty, salty kryptonite!
I guess this means I’ll have to be quite mindful of my eating and movement the rest of the month! I missed you ladies!

Happy camper here! Stuck to my guns on the diet front, got in a few minutes of strength training and got in 32 minutes of dancing. I pick very random songs that have the right “beat”. A bit slower for the warm-up and cool-down. A little more challenging ones in the middle of my set. One song I chose as a bit of a warm-up was “Cry to me” by Solomon Burke. It was one of the songs in the movie “Dirty Dancing”. Aw Come On, give it a try!

I started with this group in July. I am Mary, 69 years old, CW 170 lbs, GW 150, or maybe UGW 140. It would be great if my blood pressure improved with weight loss. I've lost 15 lbs this year, and lost another 6 but gained it back after a trip and haven't been able to get back down to 164. Logging and weighing might help me see how to make more progress. MFP isn't easy for me to work with but I'm starting to get used to it -- I'll be putting in my daily weight and checking for any change in my measurements. Still trying IF 16/8 with Keto but not married to it, if I don't make progress. I am coming to believe exercise is the missing component for me, and I'm working on regaining strength from long-lasting leg and ankle problems resulting from Guillain-Barre syndrome so I can get more steps.
Continuing with focus on nutrition: veggies and fruits. Still pretty much clean keto and IF, not eating until lunch each day. Hydration focus.
A little virus kept me from walking but doing stationary bike today (8-12)

My name is Donna. I am 5’ 5” tall, 63 years old and from the Michigan USA. In 2016 I weighed 253 lbs. I am on a journey of health and to get back to the real me.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

    Actual Ending Weight: xxxxx

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

08/12-192.6-(Trend Weight 195.2)- Handyman was very nice and seems like he’s going to work out. So far, so good. He also has resources for what he is not licensed or knowledgeable in.

08/13-194.2-(Trend Weight 195.1)- Well I guess a year has gone by very quickly. I got a call from my childhood best friend that she is on her annual vacay back to Michigan to visit family and friends. I have (since growing up) moved about 3 ½ hours north so we are coordinating when she can come stay a night or two. She understands the renovations that have just begun and that I can’t leave. So….. the self-sabotage has begun. I did not eat well yesterday but I did make sure that I offset my stupidity with some HIIT in my workout. Why can’t I just be good to myself? My trend weight still went down a bit so I’m hoping the upward change is just water retention. We’ll see.

Aug 14 - 184.2 I have been out of my normal routine too long - never really got back into the full swing since coming home from Nashville. Starting fresh today! The timing was terrible in that the two competition challenges that I was in ended at the same time - nothing to keep me structured and accountable, so I would be on track on day and then off the next. I need someone to tell me what I need to do and then I will do it. Kind of like handing in my homework at school - I need to check the boxes! The competition challenges do that for me. LOL. One starts up again today the other the following week; so excited to get started again - hopefully will get to the 170s soon.
