I met my ex PA for dinner tonight. I haven't seen her for ages, she stopped dead when she saw me and said ‘ wow, you’ve lost weight’. I cant see it, but she could.15

I've been doing plyo exercises with my youth soccer team and have been able to do more that just demonstrate the exercises. I've actually been able to lead them in the routines.15

I tried on my size 10 jeans yesterday. They were tight, but they did zip and button up! Looking forward to making them loose!24

I was feeling kind of woe is me tonight about not being able to eat to soothe my Sunday night, start of the work week anxiety due to having already used most of my calories today. I chose not to eat more because I want this to be a day that gets me closer to the results I want, not stagnates or keeps me further away. That is a pretty big shift for me.🌟26

Finally, for the first time in my adult life I'm in my healthy BMI range 🙌 been calorie counting, weight training and getting 10,000 steps in a day for almost a year now and I'm just taking a maintenance break before I set myself a new lower goal.35

That scared the *kitten* out of me. (Is it weird that I enjoy self-censoring with my own kitten insert? LOL)
That’s an amazing accomplishment!! A1C is a major lie detector and you clearly passed! Way to go! That’s great for your health! Huge NSV!

One day last week I took my car downtown to run some errands. I would have just walked into town, but one errand needed the vehicle. After that, I parked at one end of town and did the rest on foot.
Last stop was the post office. I picked up my mail and started walking back to where I had parked in the three-hour parking area. I heard a car horn honk. Scared the excrement out of me.... It was a fellow I know who wanted to say hi. I saw him later at happy hour. I told him he'd scared me and that next time just roll down the window or open the door and say hi. He still doesn't get it, but that's just how he is.
The NSV is this: he then asked, "Where were you walking to so fast?" I told him I wasn't walking fast; I was just walking. I told him that's just my pace, and I was walking back to my car from the post office.
Just walking. ZOOOOM!

I finally had an NSV! It’s a bit cool today, so I went to put on my jeans… THREE pairs of my jeans were too darn big! Like - sloppy big! I had to dig around to find my old/smaller jeans, and slipped them on easily! Wore them all day, and was quite comfortable in them! Yay!
-19 lbs , since June 6.
Thanks for listening to me brag! 😋33 -
Got some endorphins today! Have been on a sad downward spiral of a nagging injury, depression, and overeating for 2 years. Was finally able to exercise today at an intensity to bring on that feeling of positivity and like your eyes are letting more light in and everything seems brighter. I have missed the feeling!29

Latest NSV...Clothes fitting better, am working out of my "fat" clothes, and my lap times at the pool are getting better.18

I finally got “the” NSV.
New lady joined our cardio class. Haven’t seen her since before weight loss. Said hello and she was puzzled. Told her where we knew each other from and her jaw literally dropped. It was a few seconds before she could even get the words out.
“OMG! I thought that was you! You’ve lost some serious weight!”

Congrats!6 -

The other two should fit, I think they are the same size. They are the same style, just different patterns.15 -

Great NSV, but it’s looking baggy in the photo. I don’t think you’ll be in it very long!9 -
I was brushing my hair wearing a vest top and noticed I could see my collarbone…welcome back!13

That's weird. It's actually quite tight around the waistband. I tried the other one on, and it's a whole size smaller. Turns out there wasn't a third one. I'm imagining clothes lol.9 -
It’s a small nsv but, while sitting in the passenger seat of my car, I can reach into the glove compartment with my seatbelt on. I couldn’t before.18

I took a size 4 in the denim jeggings I just bought.19

I had some family in town. In the past, all of those shared meals and treats always sent me into a tailspin of cravings and overeating. This time I simply did not participate in any of the eating, and continued with my regular meal plan. I did non-food stuff with everyone, including a visit to the pool, sitting around chatting, helping with cooking, and board games. And now that they have all left, I'm happy and slimmer, instead of bloated and full of cravings and regrets like I used to be after family visits.
Also today I swam for 20 minutes straight, which is the longest I've ever gone. Felt awesome and people even commented that I looked comfortable doing it25 -
Loving catching up on these super NSVs.
I’ve been wearing clothes this week that I bought or was given in my late teens. While it’s great that they’ve lasted (I’m now mid-40s) I find myself very thankful for conservative taste as a youngster and the inevitable recycling of fashion styles!
I absolutely could not have afforded to restock my wardrobe every time I’ve gained and lost weight. So 3 cheers for saving money by being a clothes hoarder!!!20 -
Baked some cookies yesterday “for the kids” haha. Had 3 throughout the day and noticed a definite difference of feeling hungrier/less satisfied than on the days when I am prioritizing protein as I have been. Feeling motivated to continue minimizing straight up sugary snacks not because I can’t have them but because the quality nutrients just aren’t there. Before getting into trying to achieve a protein goal for the day I probably would’ve had 5-6 cookies throughout the day.17

When I was working out this morning, my Fitbit was too loose to detect my heart rate. I needed to tighten it a notch. I'm only 7 pounds down, but my mind and body are already feeling much better from all the extra nutrients and movement.19

I’ve been absent for a while and I can’t remember if I’ve already added some of these in or not so sorry if you’re reading this from me for the second time 😂. I guess the major NSV was leaving a very toxic, emotionally & mentally abusive relationship at the end of November. I fell off the wagon big time afterwards as I turned my attention more to healing my emotional and mental wounds that I acquired during the 3 years I was with him. I turned my life around completely. Finally took a job that I love doing and that’s in the line of what I’ve always wanted to do but the relationships I was in never supported the work I wanted to do (I wanted to work with horses and cattle which would have meant living away from home during the work swing and the 2 partners that I had over the years (separately- not at the same time!) would not have dealt well with me being away from them. I’ve found a happy medium though where I get to live in town but still get to work with horses and cattle everyday.
I had a 3 month relationship recently with an amazing guy who helped me realise I had a lot of inner work still to go. Unfortunately, we were both of insecure attachment styles (myself being anxiously attached and him being avoidant- these attachment styles barely work out without a lot of work from both parties, I am currently working on becoming more secure in myself and my attachment style so that next time an amazing man comes into my life I don’t torture myself and him with my insecurities)
I joined a gym. I had a lot of anxiety about going and I was actually a member of it for 6 weeks before finally forcing myself out of my comfort zone and going to a class. It has been up & up since then, I go to the gym most days, the days I don’t go I either go for a gentle stroll or take myself on a 5K jog (another NSV is getting back to my jogging- I have missed it)
I bought some shirts online. I got medium (AU10) and smalls (AU8). I’m currently about a M/L (10/12) so I got the smalls as a goal to fit into. When they arrived I looked at them and thought they looked like a big make. I tried the non-stretch ones on (as I didn’t want to stretch out the stretchy ones) and they all fit and look great. One of the mediums is actually too big, I’m hoping I can get it altered because I really like it.
I’m catching up with an old friend tomorrow that I haven’t seen for 5 and a half years. We were originally going to catch up for drinks but I asked if he would like to join me for a hike at the local mountains instead, he agreed. He sent a snap the other day after seeing one of me at the gym that simply said “You’re gunna kill me on our hike” I was probably close to my heaviest when I last saw him, so I’m down close to 30Kg (66 pounds). He’s seen photos of me and has told me I’ve done amazing, but I still look forward to seeing the look on his face when he sees me in person.22 -
Well our fridge died on Friday (no that's not the NSV). As I was lugging two 20lb bags of ice into the house (no..that's pretty cool that I could do that, but not the real NSV). I realized that at one point in my life I weighed about 40 lbs more and I was carrying those bags of ice around every day..now THAT'S my NSV. I didn't realize just how much a difference it was.22
