Hi everyone! I have a big goal of losing 30lbs by December. It’s been a rough year emotionally and physically and I put on weight, but I’m in a better place how and am ready to shed it off. So… I’ll post updates here- if nothing else to hold myself accountable. ❤️ we’ve got this!

Hi there, I’ve recently re-committed to the goal of losing 30 lbs or close to by end of December. I’ve lost 3lbs this week. I’m going to break it down into 10 lb goals. I’ve also started to drink a lot more water and will be starting the gem in September once the kids go back to school after the summer break. I haven’t been in the gym for 10 years so will be starting off slow but aim to go 3 times a week. Hope you have been progressing well. Would love to hear how’s it been going?

Kudos to you for sticking with it!

OP was a two day wonder. Sadly, not many folks make it as far as you. Care to share what you’re doing?

Hi! I have been drinking 2 litres of water a day, walking at least 10,000 steps a day and a sort of intermittent fast- missing breakfast which I never really enjoyed anyway to have a bigger lunch and early dinner. I usually finishing eating by 5pm most days. I am also ensuring I’m hitting my protein goal as I find that satisfies me and keeps me feeling full. But apart from that, I have mentally recommitted to my goal to lose the 30 lbs.

I have now lost 6.2 lbs from my initial 10 lb goal which just goes to show how much I was over eating with snacking junk food etc. logging every day holds me accountable.

I think you nailed it on the head with mentally committing.

That was what really and truly got me started and kept me going.

That and the NSV thread, lol.

Ahhh hopefully the poster is working hard in the shadows and will return to update us all!

I’ve been progressing, lost 11.6 lbs so far, so lost first target goal of 10 lbs. 1.6 lbs lost from my second target of next 10 lbs. Have been keeping up with IF, 2.5 litres of water a day and trying to do as many steps possible.

Ha! Insightful question! I lost 97, was skin and bones, so put an intentional 15 back on, in muscle weight. Size didn’t change.

We just got back from an international trip where we ate it all, and a few days at an event in a rural area where every restaurant in town smelled like sugary frying oil. It was the only thing to eat, since we had no facilities to cook or refrigerate so we rolled with it.

I am gratefully back to “real” food today and have pre-logged thru Sunday. Starting back to working out tomorrow. Yay!!!!

Having the ability and the will to do both means so much! I’m in control now! The travel weight will be gone in a jiffy.

Haha OP here- I was in the shadows and working behind the scenes, it’s been crazy for a while! But I’m 17lbs down so I’m 165 to 148 and I did it in a very natural way.
30lbs down by December 31 was definitely possible, but I didn’t want to fall into the yo yo dieting and I got in a bad way tracking calories to I stepped off of that and did initiative eating instead for a bit. So I still have half way to go but chugging along for sure.

    The comments are great though
