Count calories or macros???

Which to you do to lose weight? I tried to count macros 50/30/20. But my numbers dont work. I am staying within my calories 1200. Help

What do you mean when you say "my numbers dont work"?
You don't need to be exactly exact on the percents every day. Close, on average over a few days to a week, is fine. If you're nearly always way low on protein or fats, that would be a good thing to gradually work on improving, for health's sake. Carbs are technically more flexible. It's OK to be over on protein or fats, BTW, as long as the other one isn't way low.
It's the calories that directly drive weight loss, but food choices and nutrition (so macros) can indirectly affect weight loss success by triggering/avoiding fatigue or out-of-control appetite.0 -
