I am trading to gain a little bit of weight (and maybe eat a little better) Are there any bars or shake/smoothie mixes you recommend

Hey there! Bulking season is right behind the corner, huh? 😄 Gaining weight is a matter of being in caloric surplus. Therefore if you eat more than you burn you'll gain weight. Here's my favourite high calorie shake, I have it for breakfast every morning when I'm trying to gain clean weight.
100g oats
200 ml full fat cow's milk
2 heaping tablespoons peanut butter
1 large banana
1 whole egg (if free range you can even blend the shell)
Cocoa powder to taste
Cinnamon, turmeric, a pinch of salt
Comes to about 1000 kcal, sweet, filling, super tasty
Good luck with your journey!0 -
Do they sell RX bars near you? You can get them from Amazon and directly from the company, but they cost less from the grocery store. Consider them a rich snack - around 200 to 210 calories, few ingredients (dates, nuts, and egg whites making up most of it) and about 12 grams of protein.0

First course of action would be to just eat more food and more calorie dense food that puts you in a surplus. That said, when I was younger I was a bean poll and had a hard time holding onto weight let alone gaining weight. My issue was that I was pretty active in sports and then just active in general and then even more active in the military and had a hard time getting in enough calories with meals (especially given time constraints and being limited to what was available) so I started using a mass gainer shake...as I recall it was about 1,200 calories per serving and I would have that once per day along with my normal meals.0

You could do fruit smoothie. Add full fat milk, honey, or peanut butter.
