Inching back down. This is my lowest weight since mid-July and I'm hoping this 3 week trend continues. Next week is both my birthday and my anniversary and I know I'll be eating out at least twice.
I recently switched to a different app for tracking, one that tracks many, many more nutrients and I feel like it is more accurate since I don't think users can save custom foods to the general database. I can still add a food if it's not in the database but it only saves to my own custom foods. We'll see how it goes. I plan to continue using MFP to log my total calories/exercise each day since I prefer the MFP reports. The MFP community forums are much better as well.
Have a great week!

10/03-186.2-(Trend Weight: 188.7)- Yesterday was one of those days that I just couldn’t get enough food. I kept poking in “approved foods” and managed to stay under my calorie goal but was over by 4 carbs and I was pretty high in sodium. I wish I could say that I drank plenty of water or slept good but I would be lying. I am already super extra hungry upon waking again this morning. It’s going to be a L…O…N…G day.
10/10-183.2-(Trend Weight: 187.1)- I’ve done particularly well this week. Way better than usual for sure. What has helped the most is no travel this past week and therefore, no restaurants. I ramped up my exercise and began eating later in the day so that my dinner ends up pretty late and there is no need for those night time snacks (that I have a hard time controlling.) I’m still experimenting with the zig-zagging of both my calories and my carbs as well. It seems to be keeping the scale moving without stalls or plateaus so far. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, so I will stay the course. I am below my October goal which, quite honestly, never happens.

@deepwodslady your post about how eating dinner later has helped with snacking. You jogged my memory of something I tried and will try again.
It's starting your 'daily calorie count' at night. This helped me with overeating because the next day I could see what 'calories' I had left for my breakfast and lunch.
Here's to your Fabulous week 💞 🥂
@cpanus Chris glad you are feeling better. Great workout w/trainer 🏆

A small loss despite eating restaurant food 3x during the week. This is my lowest weight since mid-July and I'm hoping this trend continues. I believe the app that I am now using to track my calories, macros/micros, and exercise is helping since the database is more accurate.
Have a great week!

@200Karen That is very interesting because it may cut down on snacking for sure. I am going to give this idea a try. I am even going into my goals and settings and changing it in my diary. It allows you to change the name of each time slot. My first one, for example, will no longer say breakfast. It will say 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM which is my typical later dinner. My "lunch" slot will now say my first meal of the day times My third slot will say my second meal of the day times and my last slot will simply say snacks. I am going to try it for at least 2 weeks unless it drives my OCD crazy lol. It could potentially make a big difference. Brilliant! Thanks for sharing!3 -

10/17-185.8-(Trend Weight: 186.3)- An extra long month with extra weigh-in dates should give me an opportunity to do really well this month. So why am I going backwards? It was an up & down kind of week as you can see with my trendweight going down nicely. It’s the restaurants that have bit me in the behind. Gotta curb that and get back to cooking and prep cooking. I’ve just been very tired from all the fall clean-ups inside and out. Grabbing dinner out is easier but more damaging for sure. Hopefully this week will be better and more consistent overall.

Slowing inching down, 1.7 lbs over the past 4 weeks.
I expect that I won't make my 4 lb goal but I'll take it.
However, even better than the weight loss, I had my annual physical yesterday and my test results were great! My LDL and total cholesterol both dropped by another 19 points and my blood sugar level dropped by another 6 points. A1C is now below pre-diabetic range and all my results were normal. My PA was thrilled with my progress.
Have a great week!
Challenge Goal: 4 lbs (154.7)

I've been overeating for 3-days but that's NOW over and last night was a herbal tea night. This kept me in calorie range 🥳
Today to rid my overload of sodium, I'll kick up the cardio with a walk outside. Hope to see you on the trail 🏃🏼♀️ 🏄♂️ 🐾
@GinLee61 Big Congratulations!! Great job with your health journey. What a reward seeing your lab results. Here's to you and your continuing success 🥂

That happens! Sometimes, your stress level just kicks it up a notch. You crave salt and snacks. You'll be fine. Hit the trail and enjoy!4 -
@GinLee61 Slowly but surely, you're inching down. Bravo! That's more sustainable to do it slowly.4

@deepwoodslady Restaurant food gets me every time. You'll get back on track.
On Sundays, my husband and I get out a list we made of our common favorite meals that we cook. I made copies of this list, so on Sundays, we circle what we want to make this week, and then make a grocery list. We also take turns cooking and eat leftovers as well.4 -
@cpanus I love how you put down "grandson duty" on your posts. I can see you are a very devoted grandparent!!
Do you like going to a trainer?
I used to go but it was soooo expensive. I was paying $600 a month. I thought that was a lot. And I didn't lose a pound but I sure did get muscles and looked healthier. And sometimes, the trainer wouldn't show up. He was renting a small gym and had another job. I would sit outside the gym and wait and wait and then text him "Where are you?" He'd reply- oh I forgot. Hence to say I stopped going to him after 3 months. He was a nice guy but unreliable.3 -
@frankwbrown At least you're still maintaining and giving it your best effort.4

Since I got on the scale last week and posted my entry into the 190s, I have been scared to get back on it. This past week, we had some birthday celebrations in the family, so I overate and had too much sugar. In a few days, I'll weigh once my body gets back to normal.4

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

10/15-187.0-(Trend Weight: 186.6)- Well, you can tell by my trend weight that I actually had a great week, until I didn’t. One day really set me back. Yesterday was good but not much change on the scale today. I guess it just doesn’t trust me. Earning back trust is not an easy thing to do, but I got this!
10/22-185.6-(Trend Weight: 186.2)- I made a little more progress than I realized for the week. I love doing my daily weigh-in challenges, but my weekly one’s really give me the bigger picture, as does my trend weight. I’ve really had a tough week with cravings. While that’s not completely out of the ordinary, it has been extraordinarily worse than usual. I’m learning that even one tiny bit of sugar triggers me which is sad. @Rubyred427 , I really like the idea of your printed “menus” to choose from. It would feel a bit like a restaurant and a splurge to me to see all my choices so clearly.
