About Me:This is my ninth round and really appreciated having someplace to stay accountable.
Thanks to a medication I'm on for my mental health and an overeating habit, I managed to gain a lot of weight in the last year or so. On July 4, I stepped on the scale for the first time since I started the med (that is known to cause weight gain) and decided enough was enough. I buckled down and started actually recording my food for the first time in over five years and started walking every day. Now I need motivation to keep going. I'm a mom of five and grandma of one 4yo that I babysit during the week when my daughter is working.

9/29 - 242.0 - 2.45 miles (walk) - 3.8 miles (bike) - I'm worn out and sore. Had to babysit my grandson which meant putting off my walk until my husband got home around 12:30pm. So I decided to clean out the fridge which I had not fully done in years (thanks chronic fatigue). It took way longer than I anticipated. When I finished it was 1pm which is when I have lunch. So I ate and charged my phone then went to the HOA clubhouse to use the gym at around 3pm. Did 15 minutes on the bike and 30 minutes on the treadmill then walked home (very slowly). I didn't even bother changing because it was way past time to start dinner (salmon and a bunch of starchy sides). Finally sat down to eat at like 6. Then my husband insisted I take a bath and relax. Got done around 7:45 and went to get a treat for dessert only to find no one put the food away so I did that and cleaned the kitchen for 20 minutes. Sigh. But I was happy to see the scale back down to 242 this morning after it went up again yesterday. Here's hoping that's a good sign.
9/30 - 241.6 - 3.07 miles - Set out to go to the clubhouse today and realized it was actually beautiful out. The clouds had parted and there was sunny, blue sky, but it was only in the mid-50s. Beautiful walking weather so I just did my normal route around the neighborhood because there won't be many more days like this before it starts raining nonstop. I did good with my eating today. Had leftover pork chops and gravy for lunch and leftover salmon for dinner. I did have a small snack of veggie straws in the afternoon (only ate 12 of them which is about 1/3 of a serving). And I had a Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich for dessert. After inputting it all in, I had the exact same calories as yesterday. Weird.
10/1 - 241.0 - 4.16 miles - Decided to walk to the grocery store because it was so nice out. Got a few things to make stroganoff for dinner then came back and immediately cooked, ate (and it turned out so good), and then cleaned up the kitchen. Was on my feet from 3 to like 6:30 and was really feeling it. Looks like the rain will be back tomorrow so back to the gym probably.
10/2 - 240.8 - 3.07 miles - I managed to get out for my walk before the rain started today so I did my circuit of the neighborhood. I've been wearing my New Balance shoes because my new Sketchers rub on my heel and have caused a callous and my old Skethers are worn nearly all the way through and have at least one hole in the soul so if I were to step in a puddle the memory foam inside would just absorb it all (I know from experience with a previous pair). The New Balance ones aren't as bad as they were now that I've lost more weight and don't bother me much when I'm using the treadmill, but walking 3 miles in them in less-than-flat terrain has sucked. My feet are sore and my sciatica is acting up really bad tonight. Ugh. But I was down again today. Yeah, it was only .2lbs but it was down! It's progress.
10/3 - 239.4 - 3.05 miles - Got to my walk later than I had planned which worked out because it had been raining pretty hard all morning, but when I left, it was dry and cool. Perfect weather for walking so I did my usual route. I was happy to see the scale below 240 this morning. I wasn't expecting it so it was a nice surprise. But then I had some steak for dinner so might have ruined it. Oh well. It was yummy.
10/4 - 240.4 - 3.0 miles - Was up a pound today. I'm thinking it might be those bites of stroganoff and cheesy rice I snuck without logging. Those calories eventually add up and messed up my whole day. Oh well. Not a big deal. The weather was beautiful again so I did my normal walk around the neighborhood because I don't know how many more nice days we'll have (although it's supposed to be in the 70s the rest of the week).

10/6 - 238.4 - 3.14 miles - Been enjoying the beautiful weather the last few days going for walks outside. Yesterday and today, it got pretty hot. We even had to turn the air conditioner back one because it was so warm inside the house (especially my room on the second floor with the sun beating down on it). Yesterday, my daughter and grandson came on part of my walk with me but had to go back 1/4 of the way in because my daughter had to get ready for work. It was nice.

I am surprised I am the same weight I was at the end of round 230 when I was last involved with these challenges. Between then and now I have had my gallbladder removed after having a number of gallstone attacks. I had to be super restrictive before the operation to prevent an attack. But since the operation it has been a free for all and I need to turn it around. I am hoping that doing this challenge will get me back on track.

Twas pizza night with guests who bought treats and I didn't care what I ate. It doesn't bode well for maintenance. I wish I knew how to flip that switch in my brain to weight loss mode.

I am still not in weight loss mode. I think the problem is that I am not all that unhappy with the weight I am at the moment. I would like to get in to a healthy weight range but i don't seem to want it enough to do anything about it. The relief from the gall stone attacks after the op isn't helping either because I can basically eat whatever I want again and I think I am rebelling after having to restrict to try to not get an attack.

Lots of walking yesterday and I had a big, salty meal dining out. This drop is probably dehydration.

I think I might try having breakfast, having a big late lunch followed by a light dinner. That would contrast with my current approach in which dinner is my largest meal. This new routine might be a better fit for my day and my appetite.

I deserved that. I ate a lot yesterday. It seems my new plan is not the best idea for me. Any form of restriction leads to bad things for me at the moment.

I’m a 5’2”, soon to be eligible for Medicare girl from the Pacific Northwest. Took a “break” from weighing and logging over the last few months… always a mistake! Gained back 6 or 7 pounds. Time to get back on track, one jug of water at a time!

@refactored I've been going through a similar cycle of thoughts this week. After thinking, why am I trying to lose weight when I'm fine enough where I am, and rationalizing ordering out instead of cooking in, i had an epiphany that I was thinking about it like a scale goal and pant size that I needed to get to until I could order a pizza...without guilt, I guess? So if the goal is a scale goal/pant size I meet, and then what? Turn around and go home? I've been trying to reframe my thoughts about health and fitness as an experience that I am experiencing currently and every day I'm trying and enjoying the lack of pain, better energy, I'm experiencing it. I want to keep experiencing it, get better at it, etc. Anyway, I have no intention of ordering a pizza soon now but when I actually do I intend to enjoy it since most of my diet is healthy enough to maintain the experience. It's taken a lot of the frustration away from me so I hope my sharing may help in some way.6

After my revelation yesterday about certain foods, I ate all of the foods. 🙃 High carb, high sugar, over my calories, and no workout. No excuses, it happened. Today’s a new day to make better choices.
Sat.30.09:
Yesterday was messy (SD is here, has disordered eating tendencies. I'll be eating what they eat for a few days in order to not give her any reason to feel anything negative towards what she's having). That meant a pancake for breakfast, and fast food lunch.
However, my partner did finally mention that I look like I've lost weight. I haven't discussed it with him much, other than after my visits to the dietitian. So he didn't know how much I've lost or anything. I kinda was interested to see how long it would take him to see a difference, considering he's constantly with me. So that felt good.
Going out to riding today and to dinner tonight but I've had a look at the menu and have a plan to fit it in with the rest of the day so I'm not as far over as the past two days, especially with the calories burned riding. I know today's gain is primarily bloating from the fast food yesterday (I never have that much salt), so hopefully I should bounce back easily but with everything considered it may take the scale a few days to reflect it.

Well, it was a tough weekend. I didn’t (or couldn’t) log a lot of things accurately. But, I’m back, and I have a lot to learn from next time a similar situation arises.

Got my walk, workout, and stretching in yesterday. It’s raining here today, so I got in a morning workout, and will do some pilates or other cardio this afternoon if I’m not able to get a walk in. I don’t think I’ll hit my goal for this week, but I’ll be happy if I’m less than where I ended last round.

There are exactly 100 days until my birthday. I’ve always kind of used my birthday like ”new year’s day” as it is so close to the beginning of the year, and it’s my own personal new year. So I’ve got a few goals for the last 100 days - stretching, 6500+ steps, and 20+ active minutes every day. And hopefully I’ll hit 38 feeling younger, stronger, and more energetic than I have since I was a teenager.

We’re getting somewhere 😅 Been doing well this week. Quiet weekend ahead, planning on cleaning the carpets and doing some gardening, so should be able to finish up this round the same or lower than I started it, which is good.

No habits done yesterday. Had my evening planned, then my partner needed help checking the wiring on his dirtbike and fixing some of the connections because the lights weren't working. So that ended up being my evening and we didn't even fix the issue. I did get close on my steps at least.

@SModa61 - did you get to see the Kelpies near Edinburgh & the Falkirk Wheel, whooo & maybe visit HMS Brittania? Brings back so many memories of being there 6 years ago !!
No kelpies or wheel, but yes we went to thd brittania. There were 4 castles on the tour plus Hollyrood Palace, and many other things. Can update more once home. Got sick starting Thursday and struggling to function. In Amsterdam now.5 -

9/29 - (Glasgow) 126.6 again, lots of food opportunities, but keeping breakfast small, and at dinner I ordered two appetizers instead of an entree, and only ate part of the dessert (so far no dessert has wowed me). Up at 5:45 am for another tour day. That is 11:45 to me body, and have not slept well for two days (had slept GREAT the first). Not sure the reason Hope everyone is doing grand.
9/30 - (Inverness) 127.0 more, lots of food. I was selected to “present the Haggis” behind the bagpiper. Haggis is actually quite tasty. My father told me as such, but he also like pickled pigs feet. These pre-set (as in three course) meals are killing me. I am trying to not finish everything served. Today’s lunch was an English Tea, then we did a history walk to a pub. Now I am home briefly before going out to dinner. Sorry I am note reading other posts, but I am proud of myself that so far I have weighed each morning and posted each day.
10/1 - (Inverness) 127.0 Heading down to Edinburgh today. Did double apps as my two courses last night. I totally confused the staff by ordering an app when an entree is covered in the cost.
10/2 - (Edinburgh) 128.0 yup, I could feel the uptick. Today I have more control on food…. I think.
10/3 - (Edinburgh) 127.4 ate semi reasonably compared to previous days, but had the most fabulous ice cream yesterday Whisky tablet ice cream at Buns and Scoop in Edinburgh. Seeing St. Andrews today.
10/4 - (Edinburgh) 127.0 not sure how, but ok with that.
10/5 - (Edinburgh) 126.6 solidly under ate yesterday. Not intentionally, actually had trouble sleeping due to hunger. I should correct, I slept fine until the hotel fire alarm went off at 1 am and the whole hotel had to exit the building and stand in the cold until building was cleared. If was at that point, I was super hungry. Crazy hungry right now as just type. Breakfast is in 45 minutes fortunately.
10/6 - NWI scale will be packed on the 5th
10/7 - (Amsterdam) 124.2 did something wrong to my digestive on the 5th. Have been in pain and unable to eat. Traveling yesterday in such a condition was not fun.

Yesterday was a do-nothing day. Went to a “pool party” visiting with two wonderful friends from work (I retired 1/2019). They are now retired too. Wonderful day! Laid around the pool and visited… I ate very healthy. Water, Egg salad and no dessert. But also, no walking or exercise yesterday - just dead weight. 9/30 Yesterday was another do-nothing day re: NO Exercise. I had this urge to get organized. Worked all day in my house/couldn’t stop. Picked up GS from school and we chatted over sugar-free snowballs. Day was over then. Perfect macros, 1237 calories, 5.2k steps, but no movement/workouts yesterday. But…. Tennis and walking today!
It's hard to build new habits. It's hard to create and maintain a healthy diet. It's hard to stay focused & push through days/weeks. It’s hard to stay motivated. And that's if you're “feeling” 100%. If you're not mentally / emotionally feeling well, it's almost impossible.
I don’t know why I chose not to exercise yesterday or not to get my steps in…. I had the time, but I didn’t do it. Not gonna brood about it. But I definitely needed to FEEL organized. I do now and so… will “move” today.

10/1 So yesterday I played tennis then walked 5 miles in the afternoon …. 16.8 K steps (7+ miles), 685 move calories, 183 move minutes and ✅ macros. TIRED! 1063 cal by 7:20pm so I had to find another healthy 200 cal somewhere… added a butter bite. 1263! Today, I probably won’t hit my steps/move because we have to travel half the day to take care of a project… But, I think I accomplished enough 9/30 for two days but then again, I did nothing two days previous… 😎
I was very tempted to go with my DH after dinner last night for ice cream from our favorite local shop… I deliberated for 10 min and finally said no - but it was only because I was too tired. Shame on me! Had nothing to do with self-control. 🤣😎 Well, maybe a little! Cause I really think I would’ve indulged if I wasn’t so tired.
One more day and it is scale time again! Let’s go!

Managed to get 9.5k steps. 1877 cal. Lots of protein. Burned only 387 exercise cal. 51 ex minutes. Couldn’t get in any groove once we got home from travel. I know I didn’t drink enough water yesterday…. Will increase today.

Playing tennis this morning then starting to pack/get organized for our trip. I’m maintaining a very positive can-do attitude. The weather is supposed to be 50 to 70° the entire weekend without a cloud in the sky… Feeling blessed beyond measure
NSV Bother scale has not cooperated, I feel like I’ve lost a full size in my clothes… Feeling “clean”. I must keep reminding myself that feeling “clean”, is so much more satisfying than feeling “full”! Feeling disciplined, also feels so much better than feeling doubtful and scattered. Feeling disciplined, provides a mental “confidence” that I am starting to recognize. The battle is won in your mind!

Yesterday my activity plan did not work out… I played tennis in the morning and then I was asked to play in the evening… So I didn’t do my L O N G walk because I didn’t want to over-do it for tennis…. Then evening tennis was canceled! I did not get my steps in…
587 exercise cal, 75 exercise min, 5.4k steps, consumed 1466 cals, macros✅. I am mainly concerned about my protein and carb macros… As long as I’m under in carbs and close to 100g protein, I am good to go! Today: tennis, steps, packing!

10/5 ⚖️ 134.6 Less than a lb. so far…. ?! Sheesh! But still under 135! Leaving for Vacay! Hope to return under this weight. Will eat heathy and hike as much as possible! 10/7 YESTERDAY = wonderful day. 17.7k steps. 1979 cals. But WAY off on macros…. 20 net carbs too much. Good first VACAY day for sure even tho had 2 spritzers @ dinner which sent my carbs into over-drive. Vacay “feels” ENOUGH!!
Peaceful with nature. Feeling alive and plentiful. Grateful. Mostly wooded hiking. Not as many vistas as I had hoped. Too early for fall color but terrific anyway! Perfect weather.
We took a photo, trying to re-create a photo that I was in 60 years ago… Emotions were overwhelming. Tears rolling. 60 years ago at this EXACT spot with my family. Felt my love for my parents GUSH. (Both gone for 20+years, but surely never forgotten). Faced a few fears today, too. (Heights & vertigo) We can all do hard things when/if we choose. I felt strong today. Don’t look now but I believe the 🎢 has been DEFEATED! Blessed.
Affirmations: I WILL get to 128 AND maintain! I want every part of my being connected. Emotionally strong, I put my health first. I can/will make solid choices. I can choose in context…. Slow down and be mindful.

09/29 - 155.6 - Wow, the only thing I can think is I did a lot of moving of furniture, etc. on Tuesday and Wednesday evening. I woke up really sore this morning. I did not eat a lot of salt over the past few days and my calories have stayed between 1100 and 1400 calories for the past 2 weeks. I'll be drinking plenty of water today.

10/01 - 153.4 - OK, well I did not eat great last night. My stepdaughter and her husband brought over gourmet grilled cheese, tomato soup, and cookies. I didn't go overboard, but I will probably see a bounce in the next day or two.
10/02 - 153.8 - There is the little bounce. I hope this is it. Water, water, water.
10/03 - 153.6 - I just need to keep my steps, food, and water in focus.
10/04 - 153.2 - I did well yesterday. I plan the same for today.
10/05 - 152.9 - I have lunch with a client today at a new restaurant. I've checked the menu and have figured out my best option.
10/06 - 152.7 - My client had to reschedule lunch, so I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich from a local restaurant. However, I've realized I need to stock our office freezer with a couple healthy frozen dinners so I'm not stuck trying to find something healthy to eat close to my office. I usually pack my lunch.

@deepwoodslady - Thank you for the encouragement. I've been really upset with myself since I gained over 10 pounds back over the past year and a half. I lost all that weight 5 years ago with the help of this group and was able to maintain it for over 3 1/2 years. Last year I started weighing over 145 and just allowed myself to only check in here a few times a round and eat like I was below my goal weight. My clothes let me know I can't continue on that path so I really started back to controlled eating a few weeks ago. I can tell my older age has slowed my weight loss compared to 5 years ago. It's been tough but I'm glad I'm back on track before I gained more.

About Me:This is my ninth round and really appreciated having someplace to stay accountable.
Thanks to a medication I'm on for my mental health and an overeating habit, I managed to gain a lot of weight in the last year or so. On July 4, I stepped on the scale for the first time since I started the med (that is known to cause weight gain) and decided enough was enough. I buckled down and started actually recording my food for the first time in over five years and started walking every day. Now I need motivation to keep going. I'm a mom of five and grandma of one 4yo that I babysit during the week when my daughter is working.

9/29 - 242.0 - 2.45 miles (walk) - 3.8 miles (bike) - I'm worn out and sore. Had to babysit my grandson which meant putting off my walk until my husband got home around 12:30pm. So I decided to clean out the fridge which I had not fully done in years (thanks chronic fatigue). It took way longer than I anticipated. When I finished it was 1pm which is when I have lunch. So I ate and charged my phone then went to the HOA clubhouse to use the gym at around 3pm. Did 15 minutes on the bike and 30 minutes on the treadmill then walked home (very slowly). I didn't even bother changing because it was way past time to start dinner (salmon and a bunch of starchy sides). Finally sat down to eat at like 6. Then my husband insisted I take a bath and relax. Got done around 7:45 and went to get a treat for dessert only to find no one put the food away so I did that and cleaned the kitchen for 20 minutes. Sigh. But I was happy to see the scale back down to 242 this morning after it went up again yesterday. Here's hoping that's a good sign.
9/30 - 241.6 - 3.07 miles - Set out to go to the clubhouse today and realized it was actually beautiful out. The clouds had parted and there was sunny, blue sky, but it was only in the mid-50s. Beautiful walking weather so I just did my normal route around the neighborhood because there won't be many more days like this before it starts raining nonstop. I did good with my eating today. Had leftover pork chops and gravy for lunch and leftover salmon for dinner. I did have a small snack of veggie straws in the afternoon (only ate 12 of them which is about 1/3 of a serving). And I had a Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich for dessert. After inputting it all in, I had the exact same calories as yesterday. Weird.
10/1 - 241.0 - 4.16 miles - Decided to walk to the grocery store because it was so nice out. Got a few things to make stroganoff for dinner then came back and immediately cooked, ate (and it turned out so good), and then cleaned up the kitchen. Was on my feet from 3 to like 6:30 and was really feeling it. Looks like the rain will be back tomorrow so back to the gym probably.
10/2 - 240.8 - 3.07 miles - I managed to get out for my walk before the rain started today so I did my circuit of the neighborhood. I've been wearing my New Balance shoes because my new Sketchers rub on my heel and have caused a callous and my old Skethers are worn nearly all the way through and have at least one hole in the soul so if I were to step in a puddle the memory foam inside would just absorb it all (I know from experience with a previous pair). The New Balance ones aren't as bad as they were now that I've lost more weight and don't bother me much when I'm using the treadmill, but walking 3 miles in them in less-than-flat terrain has sucked. My feet are sore and my sciatica is acting up really bad tonight. Ugh. But I was down again today. Yeah, it was only .2lbs but it was down! It's progress.
10/3 - 239.4 - 3.05 miles - Got to my walk later than I had planned which worked out because it had been raining pretty hard all morning, but when I left, it was dry and cool. Perfect weather for walking so I did my usual route. I was happy to see the scale below 240 this morning. I wasn't expecting it so it was a nice surprise. But then I had some steak for dinner so might have ruined it. Oh well. It was yummy.
10/4 - 240.4 - 3.0 miles - Was up a pound today. I'm thinking it might be those bites of stroganoff and cheesy rice I snuck without logging. Those calories eventually add up and messed up my whole day. Oh well. Not a big deal. The weather was beautiful again so I did my normal walk around the neighborhood because I don't know how many more nice days we'll have (although it's supposed to be in the 70s the rest of the week).

10/6 - 238.4 - 3.14 miles - Been enjoying the beautiful weather the last few days going for walks outside. Yesterday and today, it got pretty hot. We even had to turn the air conditioner back one because it was so warm inside the house (especially my room on the second floor with the sun beating down on it). Yesterday, my daughter and grandson came on part of my walk with me but had to go back 1/4 of the way in because my daughter had to get ready for work. It was nice.
10/7 - 238.0 - 3.13 miles - Another nice day and I was down .4 pounds. I was worried because I had a big bowl of tortilla soup with some brown rice in it and cheese and sour cream. Plus I ate a popsicle after and some veggie straws as a snack. So I was happy to see the scale still go down.

9/29 - (Glasgow) 126.6 again, lots of food opportunities, but keeping breakfast small, and at dinner I ordered two appetizers instead of an entree, and only ate part of the dessert (so far no dessert has wowed me). Up at 5:45 am for another tour day. That is 11:45 to me body, and have not slept well for two days (had slept GREAT the first). Not sure the reason Hope everyone is doing grand.
9/30 - (Inverness) 127.0 more, lots of food. I was selected to “present the Haggis” behind the bagpiper. Haggis is actually quite tasty. My father told me as such, but he also like pickled pigs feet. These pre-set (as in three course) meals are killing me. I am trying to not finish everything served. Today’s lunch was an English Tea, then we did a history walk to a pub. Now I am home briefly before going out to dinner. Sorry I am note reading other posts, but I am proud of myself that so far I have weighed each morning and posted each day.
10/1 - (Inverness) 127.0 Heading down to Edinburgh today. Did double apps as my two courses last night. I totally confused the staff by ordering an app when an entree is covered in the cost.
10/2 - (Edinburgh) 128.0 yup, I could feel the uptick. Today I have more control on food…. I think.
10/3 - (Edinburgh) 127.4 ate semi reasonably compared to previous days, but had the most fabulous ice cream yesterday Whisky tablet ice cream at Buns and Scoop in Edinburgh. Seeing St. Andrews today.

10/5 - (Edinburgh) 126.6 solidly under ate yesterday. Not intentionally, actually had trouble sleeping due to hunger. I should correct, I slept fine until the hotel fire alarm went off at 1 am and the whole hotel had to exit the building and stand in the cold until building was cleared. If was at that point, I was super hungry. Crazy hungry right now as just type. Breakfast is in 45 minutes fortunately.
10/6 - NWI scale will be packed on the 5th
10/7 - (Amsterdam) 124.2 did something wrong to my digestive on the 5th. Have been in pain and unable to eat. Traveling yesterday in such a condition was not fun.
10/8 - (Amsterdam) 124.4 I believe my stomach is now ok. Will still be eating cautiously today. I have 8 hours on a plane plus all those extra hours on each end. Looking forward to being home. Was a great trip until this issue.

After my revelation yesterday about certain foods, I ate all of the foods. 🙃 High carb, high sugar, over my calories, and no workout. No excuses, it happened. Today’s a new day to make better choices.
Sat.30.09:
Yesterday was messy (SD is here, has disordered eating tendencies. I'll be eating what they eat for a few days in order to not give her any reason to feel anything negative towards what she's having). That meant a pancake for breakfast, and fast food lunch.
However, my partner did finally mention that I look like I've lost weight. I haven't discussed it with him much, other than after my visits to the dietitian. So he didn't know how much I've lost or anything. I kinda was interested to see how long it would take him to see a difference, considering he's constantly with me. So that felt good.
Going out to riding today and to dinner tonight but I've had a look at the menu and have a plan to fit it in with the rest of the day so I'm not as far over as the past two days, especially with the calories burned riding. I know today's gain is primarily bloating from the fast food yesterday (I never have that much salt), so hopefully I should bounce back easily but with everything considered it may take the scale a few days to reflect it.

There are exactly 100 days until my birthday. I’ve always kind of used my birthday like ”new year’s day” as it is so close to the beginning of the year, and it’s my own personal new year. So I’ve got a few goals for the last 100 days - stretching, 6500+ steps, and 20+ active minutes every day. And hopefully I’ll hit 38 feeling younger, stronger, and more energetic than I have since I was a teenager.

We’re getting somewhere 😅 Been doing well this week. Quiet weekend ahead, planning on cleaning the carpets and doing some gardening, so should be able to finish up this round the same or lower than I started it, which is good.

No habits done yesterday. Had my evening planned, then my partner needed help checking the wiring on his dirtbike and fixing some of the connections because the lights weren't working. So that ended up being my evening and we didn't even fix the issue. I did get close on my steps at least.

Sunday is always busy. Grocery shopping, meal prepping, and today we added in clothes shopping and a trip to a fabric/craft store for a few little projects. I can't believe all the Christmas stuff is out in the stores! Surely it's not that close to the end of the year already 🙃

@refactored I've been going through a similar cycle of thoughts this week. After thinking, why am I trying to lose weight when I'm fine enough where I am, and rationalizing ordering out instead of cooking in, i had an epiphany that I was thinking about it like a scale goal and pant size that I needed to get to until I could order a pizza...without guilt, I guess? So if the goal is a scale goal/pant size I meet, and then what? Turn around and go home? I've been trying to reframe my thoughts about health and fitness as an experience that I am experiencing currently and every day I'm trying and enjoying the lack of pain, better energy, I'm experiencing it. I want to keep experiencing it, get better at it, etc. Anyway, I have no intention of ordering a pizza soon now but when I actually do I intend to enjoy it since most of my diet is healthy enough to maintain the experience. It's taken a lot of the frustration away from me so I hope my sharing may help in some way.
@potasha thanks for the reset. I do need to focus on being healthy and the benefits that being healthy brings rather than just numbers. I do perceive myself as healthy but the reality is I can do more to improve my health. That's what I should really be focusing on.5 -

I am surprised I am the same weight I was at the end of round 230 when I was last involved with these challenges. Between then and now I have had my gallbladder removed after having a number of gallstone attacks. I had to be super restrictive before the operation to prevent an attack. But since the operation it has been a free for all and I need to turn it around. I am hoping that doing this challenge will get me back on track.

I am still not in weight loss mode. I think the problem is that I am not all that unhappy with the weight I am at the moment. I would like to get in to a healthy weight range but i don't seem to want it enough to do anything about it. The relief from the gall stone attacks after the op isn't helping either because I can basically eat whatever I want again and I think I am rebelling after having to restrict to try to not get an attack.
