App vs Desktop Nutrients Differ

I noticed this a week or so ago and am finally putting it out here to see if anyone has an idea about what is going on.

Notice that the Net Carb numbers are different depending on if I'm looking at it on my iPhone or my desktop.

Ideas?

What’s the difference? I’m looking at the numbers by meal.

Net carbs are carbs - fiber. The website is showing carbs. See if you can swap Carbs for Net Carbs here:

    https://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary-settings

I cannot, but net carbs is a Premium-only feature, and I am on the free version.

It is also possible that net carbs is only available (to premium members) on the app. This was the case as of this article from 2020:

    https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032622531-Can-I-track-Net-Carbs-

*Net carbs is not currently available for our web users. However, if a user sets Net Carb goals through the App they will see the updated Net Carbs goals on the website under the Carbohydrates heading.

This was helpful. I am a premium user but it's not available to get Net Carbs. (Assuming I'm still using MFP in 12 months, I'll definitely be $80 richer because I won't be going premium again. But . . . that's for another post.)

I assume you know that if there's a column in your diary that's less important to you, you can swap it out and put in fiber, so the net carb estimate becomes more straightforward.

I dropped sugar for fiber because sugar was irrelevant for my situation. (I don't low carb, but didn't care to track sugar separately from other carbs given my eating style.)

I didn't until this discussion and I made two changes as a result.

Keep in mind that if you want to track fiber you might need to search for correct entries with fiber a bit more. Some database entries don't contain fiber as pretty much everything in the database has been entered by user. And people are lazy sometimes.

In what country are you? Net carbs are only available in the US and Canada. In a lot of other countries (most notably the EU), nutritional labels already show net carbs.
