Chafing Bra.

Hello, this issue started today and I haven't experienced it before.. my sports bra has started chafing at in my sternum, I'm rubbed raw in one spot.. it started at about 25 minutes into my 30 minute run, so I only had to deal with it for 5 minutes but I'm hoping to extend my run longer and faster so I can see it will be an ongoing problem.
Any tips? Especially if recommending product I'd appreciate it from Aussies? I've googled around and seen the words Body Glide pop up but I don't know where to find that in Australia, also Enell sports bras but they're way beyond my price range (again, not all that available in Australia)
Cheers

Hi Nikki, I don't have an answer (and I'm in the US) but I had to write to tell you that your signature line (and your profile for that matter) made me laugh ... out loud. Literally. Thanks.0

I've not had chafing but I would suggest a new bra may fix the problem. I am using a brand called sport active, it has a numbers systems with regards to the sort of work out the bra can handle. I think I am using number 2 (I jog mostly). I got them from bra's n things. Hope that helps0

This is happening to me too and while I don't really know what's going on, I do have my theories. One such theory is that we're losing weight and the bra doesn't fit well anymore. Perhaps time to get a fitting and some new bras? Let me know what happens.
They sell body glide in the US in sporting good stores. I'm sure there's an Aussie equivalent.0 -

You're welcome!
Growing up there was a magnet on the fridge with Garfield on it that said "I'm not overweight, I'm undertall." hehe It's stuck with me (in a harming, denial inducing kind of way) but still made me giggle.0 -

Yes, that! New bra. Bra's shouldn't chafe.0 -
*hyperventilates* New bra???? But.. but... I LOVE my sport's bra! Okay, so I don't love it so much when I'm digging my thumb down the front to stop the ouchie.. but I still love it!
Hmm, might have to look into a new bra.. *mutter sigh*0 -
Love your signature line also. I think maybe the size also. But if you can't get any new ones yet try padding it with something so it doesn't rub you raw. Maybe gauze and paper tape or band-aids if you don't have them.0

Does it have an underwire ? I would try a wireless if thats the case. We all have different anatomy also maybe it just needs to be a different style or size.0

That's awesome, I'm going to have to remember that one.0 -
I think it might be because you are losing weight and it's not fitting you snuggly anymore!!! That's good news!!!0

Thanks for the advice, ladies. I might try the bandaids/tape solution until I can buy another bra.
Kym - the Sports Active - are they Berlei?0 -
Get some bepanthan for your chaffage!! Then get a JJ bra!! I dont have a large bust, but I went on the Internet and looked at running mags to find the best one...
I have not had problems and have been running for nearly 2 years... I still feel new to this!!
But after my last half, I got chaffage under my arms, the top was a UK size 12 (154lb) but where it was long to the top of shoulders, under my arms rubbed, I felt this whilst running and carried on 13.1 miles.. Ouch ouch...
Hugs I felt for you!! I have read that some ladies get nipple rash.. So watch out and get new bra... A good running shop should be able to help you xxx0 -
I think sports active is the brand name0
