A disqaulification trophy? isnt that an oxymoron?
but then don't some people say fun run is an oxymoron too?0 -
Wouldn't this be a perfect time for me to brag about the 10k Fun Run I participated in a couple months ago? Can I brag about coming in 2nd in my age group (without revealing the fact that there were only two in my age group)? Also, do I have to admit that I was the very last person (by a good margin) to finish the event? Given that, wouldn't you say the medal I was given was indeed a participation medal?

Did you have fun?0
-
Although I did have fun, wasn't I glad when it was over? 😩0

isnt it always nice to reach the finishing end in such things?0
-
Yes, and isn't it nice there's always another finish line to reach for?
How's your weather down south?0 -
Can’t ending also be sad?0
-
Is avoiding being sad the reason we work so diligently to keep this thread going?1

Don't you hate earning rewards points, only to learn the points are due to expire rather than being allowed to continue to accumulate?0

Isn’t that part of their little game to get us to spend more than we should?0

Is anyone else besides me sucked into this game? 🙋🏼♀️0

Or how about the game where your phone/laptop/etc spontaneously dies after only a couple years, forcing you to upgrade?0
-
Can you even call that a game??1
-
Or would that make it a lemon?0
-
Wouldn't that depend on your point of view? Wouldn't the retail stores call that job security?0

Wouldn't I go with planned obsolescence?0

How much weight could I reasonably lose between now and Christmas if I really worked at it? 🤔0
-
Do you want us to include the amount of weight a person reasonably gains from Thanksgiving and Christmas cookies?0
-
Would you be surprised to learn that I'm willing to forego the cookies right up until Christmas Day?0
-
Can I offer to help you out by eating half your cookies on Christmas Day? 😁0
-
Is it even physically possible to forego Christmas cookies voluntarily???0
-
If we estimate one Christmas cookie as having ~150 calories, and one hour of exercise as burning 300 calories, wouldn't a mere 6 hours of exercise allow you to eat a dozen Christmas cookies with no weight gain?0
-
a mere 6 hours of exercise???0
-
Isn't that totally worth it?0
