Reason to smile today

While gearing up for my workout this morning, I couldn't find my lifting straps in my gym bag to help hold extra heavy loads. The gym front desk checked lost-and-found, to no avail. Figured I'd just have to go lighter during the day's workout and buy replacements later, went to my usual station.
Lo and behold, my straps were there, a week after I must have left them! (They are safely packed in my gym bag now, were the first items to go in post-workout, lol.)3 -
At work I've been asked to cover for an HCA a few times a week for one of our students. This apparently hit a nerve with a coworker who felt the need to turn this into unnecessary drama. After work the other HCA saw me leave and gave me a big hug and said " thank you for all the amazing work you do here" and that just filled my heart with joy. I go to work in hopes that I impact at least one student and that compliment just validated that no matter what, my work is appreciated.6

Skating was fun today. Met a potential new member who when the high level skaters and coaches came out was so excited to hear that she'd actually be able to meet these people and get lessons with the coaches1
