Round 243
November 28 - December 7, 2023
Please join us starting on 11/28 for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 243.
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. You have only one hour to edit your post. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.
If you feel your post is too lengthy, you can add spoilers to temporarily hide the information. It is readily available by tapping the SPOILER bar. To create a Spoiler just type or copy [ Spoiler ] xxx [ /Spoiler ] Omit the spaces within the brackets and put your information where I have xxx

I missed round 242. First round I have missed since Jan 1 2023. Disappointing, but I just could not get myself together for it. Looking forward to 243. I am needing it!!7

SW - Not weighed yet - will weight tomorrow.
RGW - None
UGW - 70 kg/ 154.3 lbs
Some details about me:
I am 26M, 5'7" - a software engineer with a sedentary lifestyle.
This my second round. Failed the last round terribly due to different priorities as well as setting very high expectations. Also, gained around 3 kgs owing to terrible sleeping schedule and a lot of unhealthy meals. I was too much occupied with some renovation work that was going on. Had a realization today that nothing is bigger than my health so I need to get some healthy counterbalance on my health front.
My goals for the round:
Sleep on time
- Start my sleep routine after 11 PM
- Sleep by 1AM
Follow a simple diet
- Morning - Peanut butter and fruit salad
- Lunch - Paneer wrap + salad + curd
- Evening - A bowl of fruits
- Dinner - Namak parantha with curd + salad + 1 scoop protein shake
- Have a peanut butter sandwich in case of late night hunger
- Limit Coffee Intake
- No coffee after 6PM
- Max 2 coffees per day
Let's see how this round goes.

I'm back after a seemingly long hiatus. I've allowed myself to grieve properly and then travel for Thanksgiving. We are home for the foreseeable future and it's time to get right back to healthy habits and workouts.
I did manage to run 2 days while on vacation - they weren't very long, but we were in the mountains and those hills were far more than I was used to. We've decided on doing the Shiner Beer Run next year and my goal is to attempt the 10k - my first ever attempt at running one. We shall see if I follow through once registration opens again (:
You don't have to be perfect, you just have to be better than you were before

Me too. Think you hit the nail on the head. I set such a high expectation for myself that when I wasn’t able to attain it I was so disheartened. Still here for another round though

I'm here for my 5th round. I had hoped to make it to the 170s last round, but didn't quite get there. This 10 days should do the trick!
I'm 51 years old. I have a dance performance and a cruise coming up in December and a wedding the beginning of January and would (I've had to adjust my goal here, as I won't make my original goal from the first time I did this challenge, and that's okay!) like to lose 3 more pounds before then. I'm hoping 2 more rounds of Just Give Me Ten will help motivate me and help me reach my goal.

Hi! I'd like to join in this round. I've found a bunch of motivation following along the threads, so I thought I'd try joining in. I may not post/weigh daily, we'll see how this goes!

About Me:This is my fifteenth round and really appreciate having someplace to stay accountable.
Thanks to a medication I'm on for my mental health and an overeating habit, I managed to gain a lot of weight in the last year or so. On July 4, I stepped on the scale for the first time since I started the med (that is known to cause weight gain) and decided enough was enough. I buckled down and started actually recording my food for the first time in over five years and started walking every day. Now I need motivation to keep going. I'm a mom of five and grandma of one 4yo that I babysit during the week when my daughter is working. We live in the Pacific Northwest where we're entering the rainy season which makes walking a lot harder, and it's my main form of exercise right now. I do have access to gym equipment at our HOA clubhouse, but I still have to walk there and back (takes about 9 minutes). I recently started working full time (after over 23 years as a SAHM) so my time to exercise is now limited.

65 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 243 (my 173rd). Thank you @quiltingjaine for the new round, as always, so grateful.
Goals for this round to get into 137s, hopefully lose a pound and keep heart rate under 50 beats a minute, then longer term goal to get back to 135 in time for Christmas (just over 4 weeks!).Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
