Good morning ya'll!
Well, starting weight for this challenge was 245.6lbs ----> this morning I was 240.6. So exactly 5 lbs LOST! Now, I know i'm STILL not out of the 240s yet, but I'm closer than I was when this challenge started. So YIPPIE! Thanks for all the support and motivation.
I agree with PURR on the challenge name --- Definitely #1 for this Easter challenge (which is only a few short weeks away) and then #2 to get us into the summer.
Ya'll are great! Keep up the wonderful work and smiles you bring to my face. Thanks again! :flowerforyou:0 -
Im a failure ... i still havent lost anything... i blame it on the muscle mass i must be building from going to the gym soo much:indifferent:
Of COURSE that's it! Silly, Jackeh. You'll get there. You've done so great this far!
i will get there!!! something has got to give!!!
HMMMMM....how many calories are you eating in a day?
my calories were set at 1500... but i went into the dr last week in hopes of getting some ideas on this... and he said lower my calories to 1200 which im not comfortable with so i instead put them at 1350... and i eat my exercise calories n all that... im hoping its cause i got a gym membership a month ago and, i am doing some weight lifting now that i am just building muscle the personal trainer i consulted with said give it 3 months, it will def start coming off then my body just needs to adjust to the muscle being built....
but i do find it extreamly frustrating because the 59 pounds i have lost so far just basically melted off.. i only worked out 2 times a week doing zumba for an hour each time....so cardio...
st00pid body lol
jackie
Hey Jackie...it sounds like your body has gotten very comfortable with where it's at...time for a big kick back into working with you on this journey...I'd say keep the cals where you have them, eat all your exercise cals, and really hit the CARDIO...HARD!!! You have made great strides thus far, you CAN do it!!! :flowerforyou:0 -

im doing about 40 mins of cardio at the gym 4-5 days a week and 30 minutes of weights... maybe i should throw my zumba back in 2 times a week on top of that...0 -

Hmm...well, it sounds like you are hitting the cardio...maybe switch up your routine, or shorten the time but increase the intensity...just some thoughts...0 -
change what you are doing for cardio maybe....add time, different machine - bicycle 1/wk, elliptical 1/wk, stairstepper 1/wk
Also - you could try to do a yoyo with your cals - 1200 one day, 1400 the next.
Boy it's so hard.....0 -
operabound way to go
I don't think #2 should be for summer we can be more summery than that....0 -

wow you mean you surpassed your goal as well, that's such a great bday gift you made yourself :flowerforyou: best wishes to you on your special day!!0 -
Congratulations everyone on all of your successes!!! :drinker: I'm so proud of everyone of you!!! :drinker:
I can't exactly say the same for myself, but I'm not ENTIRELY disappointed in myself. I didn't weigh myself today because I know I didn't meet my goal but I'm hoping that by tomorrow (my friend weighs in on Wed) that I will have at least lost another pound. I did lose 2 lbs so I am 5 lbs short of my goal weight, but it's better than gaining!! :ohwell: I'm not really sure what is going on here. It's not moving!! I decided to start the stationary bike last week so as I said, I am hoping that tomorrow will bring some satisfying results!!
I love LOVE Chrissy's "Less Fluff in Our Stuff" challenge!! Too cute!!
Congrats again everyone!! :drinker:0 -
I would love to join this next challenge, so I vote for # 1, i will look for the thread tomorrow!!0
-
Well, I hate to admit it but I was a failure at losing just 5 pounds. I just need to get off my lazy butt and start exercising. So I'm going to try this again and join the Easter challenge. My goal is 5 pounds again.I won't want to be a failure again so I'm going to be more determined to succeed the next time.
I vote for #1.0 -
I actually hit my goal. This is the first time i joined a challenge and actually made my goal.
Starting Weight: 139.5lbs
Current weight: 134.5lbs
Gain/loss -5lbs0 -
Oh and sorry, I missed the whole "voting" thing. I didn't realize there was a vote going on!!! Oopsie!!! Okay, so I guess I should be looking for the "Lose the Eggstra by Easter" thread?? Okai dokie!! I'll kkep my eyes peeled!! Tee hee!!0

What do I have to do to join the next challenge? I have seen lots of them here but have been afraid to try for fear of failure but what the heck, right?

All you have to do is already done....welcome...I will have the new thread tomorrow titled "Let's Lose the Eggstra by Easter"
And don't be afraid...not all of us have obtained our goals during the challenge, but most of us have gotten closer than we were in the beginning, so it's all good.0 -
I am happy to say I made my goal - I am at 63 kg - lost 2 kg since the challenge began. 3 more to go - which I am hoping to do by June.0
-
So i cant remember how much i weighed but i think 170 -169
i know weigh 161 so i am so up for the next challenge0 -
OK- so my goal was to loose 6lbs and I ended up loosing just 3lb. I have been sticking to my calorie goals and hike five days per week (uphill) for 1 hr 20 min. Still, no change the last two weeks! I have increased my cals this week and will continue my hiking cardio this week to see what happens.
Congrats to all who reached their goals!!! way to go!:flowerforyou: :drinker:0 -
i would ike to get in on the next challenge as well. should be interesting for me since my 1 daughters b-day is Saturday and my son's b-day is the day after Easter and we are celebrating it on Good Frfiday, two parties and still going to try and lose weight!!
I'll look for the new thread tomorrow then!
Good Luck All!!0
