I think the trick is cutting them very thin! This is the only way I have success!0

use a mandolin slicer to slice the potatoes.0

I haven't tried it, but it seems like they are supposed to be 1/8 inch thick.

I slice them very thin on a hand slicer, bake for 5-7 min. on a sheet pan the first time to reduce moisture. Remove from oven let set for 5 min. to cool. Bake again same temp for 10 more minutes or til lightly golden. Works every time.0
