    Happy new year everybody!
Currently at my heaviest weight. Got to my lowest for my 30th birthday and then spent the last decade gaining it back + a little extra. It’s been a tough few years but ready to get back at it! Hoping joining this thread will help me get back on track!

Happy New Year! I was in this group the last 2 months and I am happy to be here again!
I am 37 years old, 5'11" and currently 208.8 lbs. I will weigh in every Friday.
I started MFP on 10/27/23 and I have lost 15 lbs since then. Each mini goal I hit I will reward myself (pedicure or new outfit, etc.)
My goals are to lose about 2 lbs per week, track and weigh my food every day, go to the gym 3-4 times per week where I will speed walk 1 mile on the indoor track and do weight lifting for 45 min split into back/biceps, legs/abs, and chest/triceps.
I wish all of you so much success! 💓

Feeling motivated today. Last night i felt like having something else before bed, which would have taken me over my goal. Not because I was hungry but because through habit. I managed to resist. Made my lunch for today which I enjoyed today.

I got up this morning not feeling as bloated. I'm making my lunch ready to take to work with me tomorrow at my desk job.

What are people having for lunch? Today I had white boiled rice with sweetcorn and salmon fillet.

Tomorrow rice , sweetcorn with cayenne peppered chicken, carrots and asparagus.

@Kim_2024 For lunch today I had a chicken leg seasoned with shake n bake, green beans, and instant mashed potatoes. 😋 I also brought my lunch to work at my desk job. Tomorrow I will have leftover stouffers chicken enchiladas and red cabbage (because that's what is for dinner tonight).

64 y.o male in my 2nd year weight loss journey! Whereas I lost 40 lbs. in 2023, I still have 42 lbs. to lose! Will be engaging in intermittent fasting and a hybrid low carb. diet. I fully recognize my journey is much more than dieting, as it is truly about developing a lifestyle!

Would like to support others who find themselves in a similar position as me.

Welcome to the group, @Curt0959 ! Your journey so far is inspiring - wishing you continued success!

@Kim_2024 For lunches, I've been doing two small snacks instead of one bigger lunch, because I tend to still be hungry after lunch and will end up eating even more. I'm working from home so I have access to a stove/cook top, which I didn't have when I worked in an office. Sometimes I do eggs and toast (40 cal bread), and later in the day I do a bowl of cream of wheat or applesauce with a banana. Sometimes I eat my big meal for lunch, and have a small dinner. It really depends how I'm feeling that day, and if my husband is home or not. If I'm still really hungry, sometimes I'll have a can of green beans with spaghetti sauce. I know it sounds weird, but my mom, who did Weight Watchers for years, swears by bowls of frozen veggies with sauce on them. It works! I'm usually not hungry after that -- and a can of green beans is roughly 70 cals. Yes, the sauce has calories too, but it's better than grabbing cookies or junk food like I'd have done in the past. :)

I went haring off up a gully with my husband a couple weeks ago and did something to my leg, so I am recuperating, but I will be starting to do some light weights and increasing my walking slowly so I don't aggravate my bum leg.

Had a Teton Waters beef polish sausage and roasted brussel sprouts for dinner and it was so good! I put balsamic vinegar on my sprouts and a little herb infused olive oil, and the house still smells like it. I only had one polish sausage, so I am happy about that.

    Have a great evening!

Hi all! I’m hoping to lose weight in 2024 and not be at any risk to my future health.

It seems counterproductive but one of my reasons is I am hoping to have children in the next 5 years (recently married and we’re not in a rush) and I want to have a healthy weight before we try so I can be the best parent I can be. :)

It’s taken me 18 months to put it all on… but if I can maintain a 2lb loss I could be back to my goal at the start of the summer holidays!

I’m logging food, aiming for 10k steps a day and doing intermittent fasting for the first time to see if that will shake things up!

Water weight drops are very motivating, but the desert of non-loss that comes after is very frustrating! I will take what I can get though!

We will be eating out of the freezer the next few days; we have some beef and pork coming in 2 weeks and I need to clear out a bit more!
