    ***Update****

Hi! I am a 35 year old female and wife/mom of two. I used myfitnesspal religiously to lose about 30 pounds back in 2019 about a run of depression. I am hoping to lose about 15-20 before summer while also training for a half marathon (and while training, I also struggle more to lose weight than when I just don't run at all *sigh*). I should mention I am only 5'4 and have a small frame, so any extra weight really shows on me.

    January Start Weight: 143
    January Goal Weight: 138
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 120

January 1: 143 (haven't been this high in about five years, sigh)
    January 5: 142

@SDNavane remember it is the first week, donโ€™t be hard on yourself. It is not about being perfect but making progress overtime. Everyday is a new start.

Still getting over a pretty good head cold and cough so food has been a little challenging. Did make to make a couple of dinners with fresh lean protein and vegetables anyway. Also just found out my DHโ€™s labs came back at the low end of a diabetic level. Weโ€™re both going to see a dietitian to learn about healthier eating patterns although I know what they are as Iโ€™ve followed WW and MFP for many years. He still likes pancakes, pizza and sweets at his age (over 70) and is a temptation for me at times. That is ending as he is now committed to different eating styles. We are back to salmon, chicken, eggs, soups, nuts, and berries this week along with small portions of complex carbs. Baby steps.

My husband is diabetic as well. You can use Almond Flour to make healthier pancakes for diabetics when the urge hits.. Using almond flour instead of regular flour is a great way to reduce the carbs in baking recipes, but you need to experiment a lot to get the consistency right.

My name is Donna. I am 63 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5โ€™ 5โ€ tall. My highest weight was 253 in 2016. My MFP start weight was 235 in 2018.

    Start Weight (from Dec 31st, 2023 ): 183.8
Goal Weight: 179.8 (4 pound loss)

    End of Challenge Weight: xxxxx
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (Iโ€™ll know it when I get there!)

Weight in blue makes me blue because itโ€™s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because itโ€™s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

01/01-181.6-(Trend Weight: 180.3)- Good luck everyone in the new round and in the new year! Remember, I am always in your corner and am one of your biggest cheerleaders. Lets take 2024 by storm!

01/07-183.0-(Trend Weight: 181.3)- Pizza yesterday that didnโ€™t help my cause but I managed to keep it under my allotted calorie and carb limits. I did get off my lazy you-know-what and get some exercise in. Today I will work to improve my diet choices. The holidays are over and itโ€™s time to get into the swing of things again. Itโ€™s been a bad week. I am aiming for a good week going forward.
