January Goal Weight: 261
Ultimate Goal Weight: 185
January 1: 265.4
January 8: 260.2. Not sure how that happened, but it's very encouraging! I must have been retaining some water somewhere because I was eating at maintenance trying to heal from being sick--craving lots and lots of oranges. At my goal for my HealthyWage challenge so i need to keep it up for the official weigh in. I plan to buy myself some roller skates with the prize money. I used to love skating as a kid; you couldn't keep me off the skating rink or out of the swimming pool if there was one nearby. Weird how when we get older we forget about things that brought joy and excitement to our lives. I didn't make resolutions this year, but as I have entered my forties, i have decided to prioritize my own health, mental health, and happiness and to say no to things that don't further those things. And yes to roller skates See you next week--lots of love!

Lots of fluctuation last week, but all good. I started getting back on it 26 Dec rather than wait another week til 1 Jan and make things even worse!!
@Maz2024 - this is very wise. There's no reason to wait until next month or next week. It's best to get going RIGHT NOW. Keep this in mind going forward. If you have a bad day, don't quit, and don't feel discouraged. We all have bad days. Don't wallow. Just dust yourself off and get back after it. Don't wait until next week or even tomorrow, do it NOW. If we are to make any decisions, we have to make them now because now is the only moment we have. The past can inform us, but we can't change it. The future will unfold, but it's not here yet.
In addition to not waiting to get started or to get back on it, the other trick is to just STICK TO IT.
Thanks for reminding us!

Does anybody else have over 100lb weight loss goal?
Yep!!
I don't know exactly how much I want to lose, but I know it'll be pretty close, if not more than, 100 pounds. I'm currently 308 & want to get to a size 12 & maintainable weight for me. My PCP agreed I'll never be within my healthy weight range based on BMI charts; that is not maintainable for my frame. But I know the amount of weight I need to lose & can reasonably maintain is close to the 100 pound mark.5 -

I posted earlier this week that I had started off on the wrong foot; so, my number going up doesn't surprise me at all. That's ok. It's just a "whoops moment" and it's time to re-evaluate and try again!6 -
**Update**
Strong week with my goals! We are starting to get snow which is going to affect my exercise--I typically go for a jog 3-4 nights a week. My goal this week is to get this sorted and not loose out on movement.

Week one - I still had lots of goodies leftover from Christmas that I felt the need to eat vs throw out! So my loss reflects that choice!
Week two- I have made a menu for dinners and went shopping yesterday. I feel more prepared for success.

Does anybody else have over 100lb weight loss goal?
I started my weight loss journey weighing 253 pounds. I have 100+ pounds to lose based on that weight. I have been working on getting to 153 or less for YEARS. I'll never give up! I weighed in today at 179.8 so I have come a long way. It doesn't come overnight and it doesn't come easily. There have been so many ups and down, gains and losses. However, I know that everyday I am still trying is a day of success. Good luck to you, good luck to us all. Together, we can do this!

First day back teaching after a 2 week break probably helped! Looking forward to next week's number! There's also a long weekend coming up which means more time to walk. I work 7am-6:30pm so going to start waking up early starting Wednesday this week to fit in a work out. I found some old fitness DVDs to use and ordered myself hand weights. Tonight will be a late night watching Michigan, so I'm going to let myself wait until Wednesday to wake up super early. Go Blue!4 -
