AF again tonight, but I wish the temptation would just go away already! Sheesh.
Here’s good news, my leaky roof got fixed last week, and so far with it raining buckets, no water in the sunroom! Fingers crossed!9 -
Thanks for the good wishes and understanding. Co-MIL has been in hospital since second admission, with cardiac issues, flu, pneumonia, and trying her level best to get discharged again. She told SIL that she did not sleep at all one night because the hallways were full of boxes of people with red faces climbing out, everything had of course been cleaned up, but she needed to leave in order to get some peace. Too much Tamiflu was determined to be the cause of her delusions...We'll laugh with her in a few years about that, but right now it's too sensitive.
With Eldest Daughter and Baby Daughter both under tornado and severe storm watches on different coasts, and being under extreme flood watch myself...no time to booze it up to forget my troubles. Might need all my senses to escape or aide others. "Tis an ill win that blows nobody any good ".
Everybody & your kiddos enjoy the snow if you can...shovel carefully & stay safe...Putting another log in the woodstove and pulling Catpuccino close as I sip soup...9 -

Met up with friend's last night for a birthday. It started with one Mich Ultra and then I lost count lol. Had a great time but drank way too much and now I'm tired, bloated and cranky waiting for 5pm to roll around. I don't have anything on the social calender for a while now so shouldn't have an issue being AF for the rest of January.6 -
Staying on track - had to deal with flooded basement. Of course, the sump pump breaker trips in the middle of the east coast (US) storm last night. Flooded the basement in less than 30 minutes. Luckily we did not lose power. Hope everyone else is making it through the rough weather.

Staying on track goes better for me when there are no social engagements, or situations with extended family that can trigger stress. I welcome this quieter month to reflect on what’s important to me.
Tried a new recipe and made a crustless taco pie for Sunday football (low sodium, low carb) and it was great. DH and I finished the rest last night in lieu of ordering out. Have some Stella NA 0.0 on hand for the NFL playoffs.

Slept better last night after having a rough night the day before. Even turned in earlier, which is a by-product of not drinking!
The scale is whooshing down...but part of it is the scale whooshed up in December🙂

AF again tonight, yay! Temptation is still there right around 6:00, boooo! Super busy at work, didn’t crawl out of there until 9:00 PM! A drinkie would have been fabulous but I like my weight loss and good sleep better.
Next planned drinks are tomorrow- Saturday, but I have got to limit it to 2 on the weekend days/ even better if it’s only one. Last weekend I was way over.8 -

Had a good day. I made a pot roast, which I would normally put wine in, but then I would have to drink the rest… so instead I made a Mississippi style pot roast for the first time and had tons of compliments on it. Score!!!

Yesterday, I made a big pot of minestrone soup with all the fresh vegetables I had on hand, a little whole wheat elbow macaroni and kidney beans. Very comforting, healthy and filling. Paired it with the rest of the Pinot I had open from last week (2 glasses). Feeling good about January. Now, only if the sun would shine more!

Still on plan. Tomorrow will be a planned drink. Going out to a nice restaurant with the hubby. Other than Friday - no more alcohol planned this weekend.
