Calculating exercise and total active energy

Hello! When calculating calories I understand subtracting exercise, but should I be calculating (subtracting) for TOTAL active energy expended per my Apple Watch?

    I do not.

    But try it and see if you add or gain weight. If it’s your desired outcome then stick with it.

    No you shouldn't.

    Your TDEE already accounts for exercise calories based on your activity multiplier. Even at sedentary, you shouldn't "eat back" your burned calories. Doing so puts you at risk of reducing your deficit given the margins of error associated with food tracking as it is.
