If on a computer...you can press the "win" (windows key) and the "." (period) to get a pop up with emojis. Or you can find it in someones post and copy and paste what you like.

Howdy all. Been a bit busy lately, in a good way, and have checked in but not made goals. Supposed to snow again this evening, so we may stay in. I think we have enough groceries for dinner. We've been trying to eat what we have before the kitchen remodel starts on Monday. Appliances are getting here Saturday. I am soooo excited! At the same time I'm nervous that my vision is not reality. Decorating is not my strong suit and I picked out all of the stuff. EEK, I hope it looks good. I'm less worried about the bathroom because it is a small space, but still a tad anxious.

    JFT, Wednesday, 1/17
    1. LOG ALL FOOD!! Just do it!✔️
    2. concentrate on water✔️
    3. break the old habits .. which have come back SO badly. Even hubby told me he could tell I gained weight .. not what I want to hear, but I know he is right. I am so out of control. Remember how I lost the weight .. stopped the snacking, stopped the mindless eating, drank water when I was hungry.✔️ Went to bed hungry.. I know I wasn't really hungry, but my stomach is so used to eating and snacking, I felt hungry. It actually felt good.
    4. did not get to the gym today (temps 10 degrees), but go this afternoon, when temps are up. Just because its not morning, I can exercise in the afternoon. It won't hurt me .. there is no rule you have to only do the gym in the morning✔️ Went to the gym at 3 pm... stayed for a hour. Also went for a 20 minute walk outside .. at a beautiful park. The ice is frozen over, the little waterfall is all ice .. jsut beautiful!
    5. clean up sewing room.. its a mess :# ❌ Ha... sewed instead and made more of a mess!
    6. be accountable. Remember long term goals .. weight is a slow process. rebuilt the habits that helped me before.✔️
    JFT, Thurs, 1/18
    1. log ALL food
    2. concentrate on water
    3. mindful eating .. break those old habits of snacking mindlessly
    4. start quilt for grandson.. 1 side with be KC chiefs, the other side Michigan (he lives in michigan, but loves the chiefs).
    5. work on pc boards
    6. clean sewing room!
    7. get back on here.. be accountable
    8. go to gym ✔️ (Already went for 1 hour, going again with hubby this afternoon. Yes.. it is Ok to exercise in the afternoon.. does not have to be just in the morning( breaking my old mindset that if I don't exercise before 9am its too late). I might try and get out for a walk also.. temps in the low 40s today!

Hey everyone! Sorry I went MIA, but I had chemo last week Tuesday and have been feeling kinda punky. Not able to eat much. Today I had a dental appointment for cleaning and check up and that went well so I'm pretty happy about that. My mouth and gums have been tender (another lovely chemo side effect) so I was afraid it would be painful to have the cleaning, but she was really gentle and used water pic type tool instead of scraping. So, now that I have the all-clear from the dentist, the oncologist can add another medication to my treatment. It's a medication that helps prevent osteoporosis but also targets cancer cells in bones. I'll get that one every 3 months, I guess.

Tomorrow morning, I have to go to the hospital and have a port exchange. The one they put in my chest in October has never quite worked correctly, so another surgical procedure. I'm not exactly excited and more than a little bit anxious, but I know it will be fine. Just another curveball is all...

Anyway, enough about that depressing subject...

@cschmitz110515 How about those Packers?!!! Was that a fun game to watch last Sunday or what? It has been really fun this year to watch this young team find their groove and come together as a team. I agree with you, also, about last year...too much drama. It was hard to even get into the games. Holy snow in front of your house! We had same. I think we ended up with like 13.5". Tim had to dig paths through the yard for our dog to be able to get off the deck and go potty. That blizzard was no joke. Really pretty as long as you stayed inside though. We had to take our bird feeder down this week...so sad. There's a stupid rat living in our wood pile and it's got a trail going from the wood pile to under the birdfeeder, so hubby said no more feeding the birds. Don't want those things living in our yard. Makes me really sad. He bought a live trap but couldn't catch that sucker.

@mytime6630 Did you start cleaning up your sewing room yet? I just completed Day 1 of "Just Get It Done Quilts": Declutter Challenge 2024. I love how she breaks it down into 15 minute segments. I'm so ADHD that I need someone to spell it out into steps for me. ;) But since I have so many "down" days right now, it'll take me 4 months to get through it. LOL. I do remember the quilt I sent @Bex953172 for baby Casey! I can't believe it's been that long! That was one of the first quilts I ever completed...it probably fell apart in the wash! (It's the thought that counts though, right?)

The park photos you posted are beautiful! The water falls! Wow....

I was curious about "PC Boards" for extra money...what are PC boards? Is that like the inside components of a computer?

Here's the link to the Declutter Challenge in case you're interested...

@Snowflake1968 I hope your daughter's baby fund is continuing to grow. $4000 is a good start!

Welcome back to @emgracewrites! Welcome to @itladyee, @dennis3031 and @direa67 :) Happy to see new faces! The more of us posting, the more motivating it is for all.

I had to completely revamp my lesson plans on the fly and the AM classes were STILL stressful and we didn't get everything done. Afternoon classes didn't have enough to do. Oh and of COURSE my planning period is in the morning. There were a LOT of students out, because parents kept them home because they didn't think the roads were safe. This was miserable. And I get to do it ALL OVER AGAIN TOMORROW because they've called ANOTHER delay because of icy roads. again. MAYBE JUST STAY CLOSED.
2020 WFTY: Progress. 2021 WFTY: Persistence. 2022 WFTY: Focus. 2023 WFTY: Priorities

Cold snowy day here, but I don't mind much. The roads are pretty bad, but I live close to work. A LOT of people took vacation or worked from home today. Was supposed to judge a social studies fair at a local elementary school this morning, but schools are closed. Fair is rescheduled for next Tuesday, but Tuesday doesn't work with my schedule. Oh well, they will find someone.
