Goal reached but not stopping now

There's been bumps in the road and my weight loss has not been linear but I finally reached my goal. Yay...but is that it? My expectations perhaps didn't align with the number I had in my head and now I'm pushing to lose some more. My question is, is it normal to not feel satisfied when you finally reach that goal you've been working towards?
I'm thinking that maybe I need to focus a bit more on strength exercises to help tone up my midsection but as I look at my body there are so many areas that I still need to work on. Even though I've come so far in losing nearly 30kg, I still feel like there's a long way to go.

Congrats on the weight loss! you look great!
When I hit my goal I had to shift to maintenance and work hard not to fall in to the same old mindless eating and drinking habits. Still working on it but so far maintenance has been achieved!1 -
I changed my goal weight several times, you are allowed to reevaluate Or you can stick to your goal weight, but focus on recomposition. Or simply take a maintenance break and then decide what you want to do.
Often, when we choose a goal number, it's based on factors that don't necessarily link to how we look/feel: BMI, high school weight,...
At the same weight we were x years ago, our size/body composition or even fat distribution can be quite different. For example: my old bras were a horrible fit when I was able to wear them again and although I still have hips, I have quite a flat behind now compared to then.
PS: not sure if it applies to you, but I lost a similar amount (nearly 35 kg) and some areas don't look as I want them to because of loose skin - it can take a while to 'snap back'. Sometimes I need to remind myself that I look good dressed, which is how 99% of people will see me.0 -
Thank you! I stayed at maintenance for a couple of weeks but I'm also trying not to fall back into bad habits.
I picked my goal as it took me into a "normal" BMI but it was at the higher end of normal as it seemed like I had so much to lose to get there. I think another 5kg will be achievable.
I'm going to try and start consistently hitting the weights and see if that helps me feel a bit better. I definitely have some loose skin around my stomach that I'm hoping will shrink over time.0
