Hi All, it’s nice to be back using this app (how it’s come a long way). I like the idea of there being a community behind the scenes. So my question is this: if you’re aware of Simon Hill’s Plant Proof podcast, are you taking part in his 12-week Living Proof challenge starting 1 Feb 2024? It would be great to share progress, anecdotes and tips .

Most advocates of a 100 % plant based diets are difficult to listen to and are basically ideologs with religious undertones. However I do like Simon and have listened to many of his podcasts and he is a very good practitioner of nutritional physiology and we could all learn something, no doubt about it, I know I have. My particular health problems that were associated with carbs has led me to a ketogenic type diet that I will not change until I see my health declining, which it hasn't for over a decade. Anyway good luck and you certainly could do a lot worse in this space. Any diet whatsoever is better than the "SAD" so expect good things if that's where your coming from.

Funny. I'd say the same about keto and carnivore advocates.3 -

Absolutely some do for sure, but veganism has it in spades. The people that get it wrong in keto or carnivore are pretty easy to spot, simply because it comes down to some pretty basic science. Veganism has lot more feelings involved and as they say, science doesn't care about your feelings. And like I said Simon is one of the exceptions that I've found in that space that's worth listening to, and again this is just my opinion.1 -

Totally agree both sides have their problematic advocates. I'm no vegan proponent either, honestly.1
